well there was no magic like we pulled against Samp last year, but still a 3-2 loss for us is quite lucky. I missed the 2nd half but I thought the game would have ended 3 or 4-0 in favour of Palermo. They were winning balls all over the field and looked excellent. Toldo is going to have a tough time getting back in to the team because Julio Cesar is a friggan beast.

Why the **** wasn't Kily shipped off to Turkey. I was so pissed seeing him play over Solari or Figo, hell Stankovic can make better plays than him.

Yeah, why play an off-form player? Gilardino was nothing vs. Belarus... he was right to keep him on the bench vs. Scotland.

haha Im not so sure myself but the Milan camp is like indirectly blaming Lippi for not starting him againts Scotland and denting his confidence or something like that.

I was joking anyways. Gilardino usually starts in the second half of the season. No worries (Y)

Udinese 1-0

De Rossi own goal (Y)

I am going to laugh at my uncle today, after he was heckling me all of yesterday when Inter lost 3-2.

"Udinese has nobody" were his words I believe (Y)

Oh, also saw this...

At least you get Italian Language Commentary :(

Inter gonna play their games at a neutral venue then, eh?

It's 4 matches. First was the Qualifier, and now all 3 group stage matches. And I haven't heard anything about Inter playing in a neutral stadium. Mancini mentioned it to uefa, but I don't think they ruled on it. I think it's another one of TLN's misprints

if inters banned from their stadium for 4 matches, wouldn't it make sense that their home games are at a neutral stadium?

Well the fans are banned from the stadium. Mancini brought up the idea to play in a neutral stadium and have all the money from the tickets go to charity, but I guess it would still defeat the purpose of playing in an empty stadium.

Serie A Team Of The Week
9/13/2005 6:33:00 PM
Here’s a 3-4-3 formation consisting of Toni, Trezeguet and Shevchenko in attack for round 2 of Serie A.
De Sanctis: Kept Roma at bay as they had greater ball possession and were threatening at times. Aides his team to three points.

F. Cannavaro: Kept the Empoli offence at bay and aided Abbiati to have a tranquil afternoon. Not tested well as of yet, but a very capable defender.

Pessotto: Not a regular starter, but when he starts, he shows his valuable experience. Lost a step, however, he knows every trick in the book as at one time he was one of the best defenders of Serie A.

Natali: A young player who is maturing constantly. Played well against Roma and can be a future Azzurri regular.

Vieira: Scored a goal and is showing that he is adapting well to Serie A life and worthy of wearing the coveted Juve shirt. Arsenal wish they still had him as their year started off poorly.

Grosso: A good week playing for the Azzurri capped off by the end of the week with a great performance versus Inter. A current star and a possible future gem. If Palermo go far, it will be because of him and other youth players on the team.

Camoranesi: Impressive and consistent. Since Capello took over at the helm of Juventus, Camoranesi has improved immensely and has become one of the most consistent players the Bianconeri and Azzurri have.

Kaka: Scored a goal and gave the defence a headache. Is finally showing signs that he can score and shoot accurately towards the net. A future World Player of the Year candidate.

Trezeguet: Keeps on scoring and scored his 99th goal as a Juventino. 100 next week? We shall see.

Toni: Capped off a great week by scoring for the Viola. A superb player with a great future with the Azzurri and with the Viola if he wishes to stay, for the big three would love to acquire his services someday.

Shevchenko: Scored a great goal and is currently carrying the team until Vieri and Gilardino get settled into the Milan philosophy. Any signs of a fallout with the organization seem to be just rumours as he is playing rather well and Roman will have to wait a little while longer for him to wear the blue shirt.

Again TLN being a pure piece of crap, they're showing the same game as RAI International(Samp-Milan). GolTV is showing Juve LIVE.....I thought they showed the same games(TLN/GolTV) :|

Ive been at University for a couple weeks, so I havent had too much time to watch TV (made exception for Inter game and CL matches), let alone be on the computer too much. Some other awesome news I received was that we have a bandwidth limit on our res comps, so any plans of downloading games via torrent were dashed, so im pretty excited about that. Im home for the weekend, so Im gonna have a marathon soccer watching tommorow afternoon and sunday with some outstanding comments and observations back on my old stomping grounds.

I actually have a nice little Saturday planned. Gonna watch some calcio in the afternoon, than head over to Sears and buy some new tops, might even go to Winners and check them out, I don't know, I might not have enough time!

But ya, Italian dominance in Champions League..... I f*cking love it..... but is anyone really that surprised ? ;) .... 'Inter 1 -- random Slovakian team' 0 was kinda disappointing though, was kinda hoping Adriano would swallow them whole, but a W is a W... and Miccoli scoring the winner for Benfica was the icing on the cake (Y)

One thing i didnt f*cking love was that TLN's already questionable announcer (the guy from last season, sounds like hes on a phone in Toronto watching games) was 2 seconds ahead of the game, so all the scoring chances lost a lot of the suspense. Boo-urns to that, but I guess we should be grateful the fine folks at TLN are showing the games to begin with.

.... everybody always wanted RAI to come here, but its biggest impact so far has been completly messing up TLN's programming schedule. Its really anything goes when you tune in for games, not to mention last weeks odd 'flickering' picture.

Has nothing to do with Serie A (which makes it perfectly suitable to the theme of this thread), but lets give a hip hip hurray to Real Madrid for the raping they received from Lyon :ewan:
