either he's about to take hearts job, or him and Romanov are in Croatia for a romantic getaway. Maybe he'll pull a 'Ranieri' and sign 10 Italians when it's official.
Gilardino wants Italian job
The Parma striker will be sold this summer but he’s seemingly ruled out a foreign switch in the interest of his international future.
"I want to remain in Italy because I want to be a part of the 2006 World Cup," he told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.
"If I moved abroad, I would run the risk of compromising that possibility."
"Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti is a stupendous person and they have some extraordinary players there.
"I’ll be going on holiday from Wednesday and I would like to know by then what team I will be playing for next season."
"I want to win my first trophy with a club," he continued. "Winning the Scudetto or the Champions’ League will remain with you for the rest of your life."
Gilardino concluded by asking his unknown future club a favour. "If possible, I would ask them to sign (Parma teammate Domenico) Morfeo," he remarked.

Milan will have Sheva, Gilardino, Crespo and either Inzaghi or JDT for next season. wow. What gonna happen when the front 3 are all healthy, and expecting to start? If Pizarro leaves Udinese, id like to see Morfeo on Udinese and in CL, great player

Italian interest in Quincy
Reggina are considering an offer to sign Arsenal starlet Quincy Owusu Abeyie on loan.
The teenage attacker is currently on the fringes at Highbury but is tipped for a bright future with The Gunners.
He made seven appearances for the first team last season and scored his first goal for the club against Everton in the Carling Cup.
But Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger may decide to farm the 19-year-old out on loan next season to build up his experience.
Serie A outfit Reggina are believed to be keen on Owusu Abeyie, who can play up front or on the wing.
Reggina have been taken by the Dutch youngster's performances in the World Youth Championship in his homeland.
Owusu Abeyie started all three group games as Holland advanced to the second round and his displays have not gone unnoticed.
A move to Italy could beckon in the coming weeks, with Reggina deciding whether to ask to take the player on loan for the season.

I'd love to see this move happen. He's looked amazing at WYC, and itd be great to see him playing in serie A until he goes back to Arsenal.
