Good to see Miccoli scoring again (of course the ONE week i drop him from fantasy team
), but they gotta start winning. Best game of the week had to be Parma-Lazio, which over the past few seasons has always been great match with plenty of goals. Great goal by Gilardino, and a nice celebration which im gonna use this week if i score
. Morfeo played well too, and if he keeps it up he deserves a NT callup.
How bout Lecce, in a game between the two 'surprises', they showed whos the better side. I think Messina has already hit their peak, and will be dropping in the standings as time goes on, but Lecce i dont know. I think 5th place is real possibilty. Theyve got great depth in attack, and Konan a great player himself, hasnt even had an impact yet.
About Big Game.
Shouldve been a better match. The first half was great, but the second half was a big disappointment.
I think the game came down to bad coaching on both fronts. Really, what was Mancini thinking? Could he not see that Cambiasso wasnt doing anything and that Davids shouldve been brought in? or Van Der Meyde A LOT earlier for Emre, who got worse as the game went on. Ive never been too much of a fan of Martins, but Vieri playing just made Adriano worse.
These changes shouldve been made:
Davids in for Cambiasso at HT
Van Der Meyde for Emre at 60 min
Cruz for Vieri at 65 min
I'll punch myself in the stomach for doubting Mancini for bringing Fontana into the side. I was against dropping Toldo as i felt hed done nothing wrong, but Fontana has been incredible so far.
And than theres Ancelotti. Ive never really liked the guy, even though hes been so sucessful past two seasons. Milan can play so beautiful at times, but more recently ive seen more games like today. Why bring on Ambrosini? Wouldnt Rui Costa have been a much better choice?? If it wasnt for Sheva's brilliance, and Nesta's dominance Milan would be in a lot worse shape than they are. I was hoping Inter would beat Milan 4-0 today, just to shake this team up and for Carlo to change his tactics. Im sick of watching such an offensively gifted team play so static and unimiginative. I hope Berlusconi agrees with me, and 'straightens him out'.
Speaking of Nesta's dominance, todays performance, WOW. Adriano has been destroying EVERYBODY this season, and Nesta has controlled him better than anybody. Truely the greatest CB in the world today. Che Bellisima. Not to say adriano had a bad day (he made Cafu look his age a few times), but when he came to Nesta, he was limited.
