Fiorentina will win the league, you heard it here first...

Unfortunately, Juventus just look too good for everyone. Amazing starting 11 and great squad depth. Anything lower than top 3 and Capello should be sacked...

Go ROMA :rockman: but just because Chivu plays there, I've never had a favorite Italian team. This is a nice thread by the way.

damn if I disagree with you

Juventus is my favourite italian club but comparing their squad to Milan squad this year is just laughable. They're seriously lacking quality defenders, and attacking depth. I said this in the Juventus forum a while ago and some other members said Juve were only getting started on the market.

I mean with this squad, although Capello is a great coach, unless Del Piero finds the consistence he's been lacking for years, Nedved has another super year like 2002/2003, Trezeguet pounces any chance he's given, Buffon hits back (he was kinda out of form last year)... I'm affraid they'll struggle to be even second. Their defence is just not solid enough, atm even Roma's defence is looking much better and younger too

Cagliari signed a venezuelan defender Alejandro Cichero :fluffy:

No they didn't, he's back in Montevideo training with Nacional.;)

I say Juventus to win the scudetto and Inter runners up. Too bad Juventus didn't sign Cavenaghi.:(

well all the papers that i looked at it, say he was a Cagliari player. Although i entered to the Cagliari web page and i didn't find his name on the squad. So i guess you're right. Anyway the price was 800,000 which i honestly think is too much.

Ohh and Milan will repeat :mrpimp:

Ya, i agree. Some players are just destined to play for certain clubs.

Ronaldinho - Madrid
Cavenaghi, Gilardino - Juve
Van Der Vaart - Barca

Anyways, ive been following Serie A for a long time, and ive never looked forward to a season so much. Theres so much teams that interest me and id like to see. If Juve adds a couple players, and Roma a striker, than its a wide open 4 team race for the title.

Zola is returning to Italian top flight for first in 7 years or so. the depth in quality teams is the most in a while. the top four will likely be Milan, Inter, Juve and Roma (not in that order), but the race for 5th and 6th place is wide open. Parma and Lazio (who just picked up Di Canio) have lost key players, but im sure theyll still be able to be top teams. Sampdoria has only gotten stronger this summer, and Udinese still has all their top players intact. Palermo has a side full of great players, and i think are one striker away from distancing themselves from the pack. and then best of all is the return of Fiorentina. They've already signed lots of great players, and their president has promised three more "important signings". By next season i think theyll have a good chance at getting 4th spot. Bologna have signed Euro 2004 mvp Zagorakis, so theres another player/team to watch this season. All this means that there will be more great games than ever before. If only Napoli could return, than it would be perfect.
