I was always under the impression that Arsenal were thrifty when it came to transfers, and therefore they resorted to snagging away other clubs youth products because of contract loopholes.

Regardless, clubs like Milan, Juve, Inter, Real Madrid and Chelsea have the same money.

He resigned in the summer until 2008 so Parma could get the most they could for him. Enjoy Reyes, who is clearly a happy Arsenal player (Y).

Arsenal know every loop hole in the book, how do you think they keep the pace with like 10% of United and Chelsea's money?

They haven't paid taxes in 8 years, and it's all legal.

guys i feel this is unfair on bologna!!

i mean i did a head to head thing with the 3 teams stuck on 42 points. and the results were as follows:

team w-d-l (pts)

fiorentina 2-2-0 8pts
bologna 2-1-1 7pts
parma 0-1-3 1pt

therefore parma were the worst out of the 3 and they should be relegated!!!

Starting XI
but it's not decided that way

fiorentina has the best record b/w the teams, so they survive

and the remaining two have a play off

if you want to look at it like most leagues, with goal difference, then it would be bye bye parma

god if parma pull through it will be amazing. i mean they have lost twice to bologna this season. maybe if parma wins now it will give em a chance to square that up to 2-2 and then keeping themselves alive!! god i love the serie a!!!

I think Morfeo and Gilardino are suspended for the first game.

I'd rather Parma stay up as theyve been an Italian staple for past 10 years, but I have a feeling if they dont get relegated this season, than they will next when Gilardino and Bonera are sold off.

Does anybody know the dates for games?

Inter: Adriano won't move
by Nadia Carminati - created on 30 May 2005

Internazionale have issued a hands-off warning to those clubs eyeing a summer swoop for Adriano.

The gifted Brazilian has emerged as one of the world's hottest properties after a Serie A campaign that has yielded 26 goals in 35 starts.

Chelsea are thought to be the club most likely to test Internazionale's desire to keep their prized asset with a huge bid this close-season.

However, president Giacinto Facchetti insists the Milan giants have no intention of relinquishing their talismanic striker.

''Adriano? He will stay with us,'' said Facchetti.

''I know he is eyed by many big sides but he won't move.

''This season we started badly, earning 11 draws from the first 13 matches.

''Then we found the right balance. We are ready for next season. We will try to make just small changes because starting in a good way is very important.''

Oh and Mikey:

The tie was not enough to secure a safe spot for Parma and this means that the Gialloblu will have to playoff against Bologna on June 14 and 18 in order to decide who will stay in Serie A. The derby promises to be 180 minutes of pure agony.

Udinese Announce: Jankulovski Is Milan's!
5/30/2005 5:33:00 PM
Udinese chairman Pozzo confirmed on Monday that Marek Jankulovski has been sold to AC Milan.
“Yes, Jankulovski is a Milan player,” Pozzo told reporters.

The news had been around since the Spring, even though only today did it become official.

The 28 year old Czech star has signed with Milan until June 2009.

Jankulovski is the second player to join Milan in the space of a few days.

Just last week the Serie A giants announced the capture of PSV star Johan Vogel.

SERIE A INVINCIBILITY RECORD FOR INTER

Monday, 30 May 2005 15:10:15
MILAN - Francesco Toldo and the Inter defence have finished off the 2004/05 Serie A campaign by setting the seasonal record of minutes played without conceding a goal. Including the 0-0 draw at home to Reggina, no team has scored against Inter for 450 minutes. The Nerazzurri rearguard therefore overtakes the AC Milan defence, which during the course of the season remained unbeaten for 430 minutes.

And they say our defence is bad....well it was bad 75% of the year. Toldo should be back in the National Team.

I think Adriano's poor second half of the season scared off Real Madrid and Chelsea from paying what will have to be a huge transfer fee. Hate to say it, but if he doesnt leave this summer, he'll leave the next. Unfortunately I think his future lies in Real Madrid.

the Serie A season is going WAY too long. they shouldnt have started 2 weeks late. I know Morfeo will definately miss the first match after red card, but im sure about Gilardinos situation. They said he was suspended for first match on Soccer fanatics last night, but you cant trust those guys. If he is, than maybe he'll play in Toronto on June 8th :D

I dont think we should worry about italys gk situation. We have Buffon. and if the unthinkable happens, and he has to miss the WC, im sure its more likely that Lippi would recall Toldo or even Peruzzi rather than settle for De Sanctis, Roma or Pelizzoli.

I hope Cudicini switches clubs and becomes a starter, other than Toldo I think he's our best other keeper. Roma should make a move, and loan out Curci for a season.

It was only a matter of time before Jankulovski signed with Milan. Shame he did though, would have loved to have him at Inter instead.

It's also nice to hear Facchetti continuously say that Adriano isn't going anywhere. For some reason I totally believe him. Facchetti seems to be more reliable then Moratti, which is definately a good thing for the club.
