Still, we had to pay for Woody ( alot of money it was too ) and on top of that he had a big contract. Even if we have enough money it does not mean we should go blowing it out, another thing I am not really confident on is players ( defenders at least ) coming from Italy, the style of play in Spain is different and I really don't want to have to wait for 6 months or so until a players shows his true skill. So far Fabio is still not that great but has been a lot better in recent games although he is still in my mind a failure like Walter Samuel ( another Italian style defender ). If we really feel the need to spend money we should get a CB that is already use to Spain ( we lost the chance to get Alexis...thanks a lot Mijatovic ). I still see it as a good move financially speaking and we are bound to lose some CB's this summer so even if he is not a starter he will be a useful squad player.

bigAl is officially an idiot. 2 more to go! It's in our hands. Zaragoza will be the ultimate test out of the too especially at La Romareda. Lets hope our friends Espanol can take care of Farca. Hopefully Etoo can cause problems in the locker room before the next match. I have faith in him.

about metzelder i think its a good move if he can stay away from injurys, i have been following him for some time now and i think and he is a very solid defender, about heinze well he is great too, he has perfect timing but he is a very diferent player compare to roberto carlos, he doesnt go up as much, plus what are you guys going to do with marcelo and torres if madrid do decide to get him ?

Looking at how our management is going I would guess that we would have Henize and Marcelo as LB's. Torres and Ramos as RB's ( sell Cicinho to whoever will take him ). Than add in the CB's....at least that is how I would do it although that does seem rather unfair to Torres who has done a really good job at LB anyway.

First I'll say that Torres is a must. He has done exceptionally well and doesn't look like he'll flop anytime soon, plus he's young. Marcelo is an investment and I reckon they will play him slowly and not rush him. IMO...Cannavaro looks way too inconsistant and we will have to look for a top notch CB who is fairly young and proven. Ramos, Torres, Marcelo I like. Helguera & Cannavaro should be replaced sooner rather than later & Cicinho would be fine off the bench.

well i think metzelder is a good move because TBH he wont be a starter, and if does get injured it wont be the end of the world as we have ramos cannavaro mejia helguera and bravo an torres who can play in that position as well, incedently i think that torres's best position is centre back, ive seen him play for real madrid castilla in that position and he played really well and also against dynamo kieve.
i really hope we dont get heinze i think the guy is a good player but have u seen him lately he is playing so poor he cant defend and doesnt attack he is worse then salagado, except salgado defends better.

If we get Metzelder i hope he not another Woodgate and Torres should be promoted to play fully with the first team next year.
