We'll I guess because You are not really paying for a team to lose a game, You are offering an incentive if they play hard and win.

and you dont think its wrong or unsportsmanship, anyway we can slice it madrid are still "paying" money to try and manipulate results so it can favour them, can you really see both things are not really that diferent. but let me point out iam not only talking about madrid , i am pretty sure other teams in spain have done it , barca included, still the question is their, how can this be ******* legal, i dont wanna imagine if an investigation would go on to spanish clubs, and this is certainly just atracting attention for that matter.

Actually it's not illegal to pay someone to play good or want them to win, now if you pay a team to lose than it's a different story. Anyway these are really old and have been around for a long time. It's as a poster from another Madrid forum posted "these things have allegedly been around forever... yet no one sees them... no one pays them... no one gets them... nothing. Actually, I think Molinero said yesterday he had gotten one of these bonuses. Seems like everybody does it and yet nobody does it." You see what I mean? Nothing to really worry about, it's that time of the year and this kind of stuff comes out of the press like every year.

In more important news Soldado made the Spain NT, too bad M. Torres did not make it though.

actually in this case, it is pretty f*cked up. if zaragoza beat sevilla, they will have no reason to play a tough game against madrid because they will have essentially sealed a UEFA cup spot already. for them to miss out, villareal would have to win all of their remaining games, which is unlikely since they still have to play valencia and sevilla. so in reality, madrid is paying zaragoza to beat sevilla, so that madrid have an easier game against them, which is messed up.

whatever, if we don't win la liga this year its our own fault. madrid had been sucking for so long this year, it's our own fault we didn't seal the deal a long time ago.

wether it can be actually called "matchfixing" is very debatable. here's what I think: what if the opposing team hears about this and gets even more motivated to beat the team receiving the incentives?? The pressure then turns to the team that offered the incentives to win and not end up with egg on their face. This is why Is hard to actually say that a team is fixing a game because there is no guarantee that the team will win.

Now to pay a team to lose, that is always a sure result. Then you can say with certainty that the game was fixed, and that should be punished to the full extent of the law.

At least that is the way I see it. Everyone is welcomed to agree or disagree.

Well, you can say what you want, but if I was Zaragoza I would put everything on every game from now on. If they win against Sevilla then it would be great for them and good for us. if they lose or draw, then it will be f*cking difficult for us but even more for Zaragoza. I think that Zaragoza know that its a bit easier to beat Sevilla then to beat a Madrid side that is in top form. Also Barca shouldnt say a thing because all the teams they play dont have anything to win or to lose. (maybe Getafe, dont know for sure)

I was a bit pissed when i did my last post, but to tell the truth I think that if we win it then it wouldnt have to do with any payment. We are in top form, we can beat everyone, why pay them?! Same for Barca, it was a little suspecious, because if you watched the game then you could have seen that the Pathetico players didnt run for the ball, they didnt fought and Barca got helped by a terrible GK! But Barca was also fantastic that game.

Btw, you say Real s*cked long time this season, but Barca s*cked as much. Except for the Pathetico and Getafe game, they didnt play great at all after the winter break.

I won't post more about this topic as I have already spoken about it but, that's a bad example. Even if Zaragoza are not getting money they will play hard against Sevilla so their spot is more secure and that way it will be a bit easier for us, on the other hand if Sevilla win than Zaragoza will be even harder. So basically either way they will play hard against Sevilla and no one is even sure if they are getting money and from which team so.... Yea we have been sucking for as long as you guys and the rest of the league for this year.

Well that is another question if it's sportmanship or not, I don't personally agree with it but than again it can't be proven either...basically it's all just media talk and most likely will just stay that way so as I said I won't be too worried about it. In other words its pointless to talk about.

Hopefully a win for us and the others lose.

IF we did it there would be a big difference than what Juve did....your misunderstanding the article. As I stated before it's not illegal to pay someone as a way to motovaite them to win. If you pay someone to lose or thorw a match than it's a different story.

I hope we don't suffer too much againt Depor, I just want a win but hopefully something less hurting to my heart.

Well, at least Real offering money will or should ensure that the sh!tty teams Barca and Sevilla play will play the way they should. But of course, Barca and Sevilla want their opponents to just walk around like Pathetico madrid! And in a way, I don't blame Barca and Sevilla, I'd want the same. They are just sore because they want easy wins. The money will motivate them to try to beat Barca, Sevilla....in the same way that money from the UEFA cup, Champions league motivates teams to go further and further...or doBarca give that money back?
