I did not saw that match but Helguera is a very good player, specially as Midfielder. If we need to kick a Midfielder , that must be Beckham so far.

getting Cannavaro for only 3 million euro would be a really great signing. then we would still have money to sign coloccini or mascherano. :D

and yeah, Cannavaro's wage is very high but to compensate Madrid for that, Inter is ready to sell him for such a low price.

i agree. Helguera is too good to bench. but a back-up for him in the defensive mid. would be a good option. ;)

Helguera was very good defensive mid. Now he's play crap, probably because he play as defender for long time. I hope it change soon... But for now we really need pivot, cuz we don't have certainty that Ivan will be playing so good as he was earlier :(

Injury blow for Anfield new boy Nunez

Antonio Nunez's move to Liverpool got off to the worst possible start today with the Spaniard suffering a knee injury in his first training session.

He was only unveiled by the Reds today after joining from Real Madrid in part exchange for Michael Owen but the club suspect he may now have suffered ligament damage, with more information likely to emerge tomorrow.

Liverpool spokesman Ian Cotton said: 'We are all desperately disappointed for Antonio because this injury has come at such a bad time for him and he is understandably gutted. We will know more about his injury tomorrow afternoon.'

this has been a great day for Real Madrid players. both Beckham and Owen (assisted by Beckham) scored in England's friendly against Ukraine. and so far it's 1-1 between Spain and Venezuela. and guess who scored Spain's goal? MORIENTES! :rockman:
