You trully believe it was a good game?

What a sh1tty game!

Benfica got an early advantage and after doing almost nothing during long periods of time when they had almost all team behind the ball they could get a historical result at break time due to a corner, a counterattack that lead to goal, another counter that Miccoli sent to the post and that freekick by the end. Besides that... nothing!! Unbelieveble!

I'm not saying that Sporting deserve to win or that they played well, on the contrary. Sporting sucked with Romagnoli and Bueno starting! Though they had much more iniciative and attacking football, aimless but they did!

I was watching the game with some friends, Sporting and Benfica fans, and Benfas were laughing and pissing Sportinguinstas cause they admitted that Benfica was seated back there, playing "badly", irritating Sporting and they got away with it!

IMO there's a penalty agaisnt Benfica when Luisão grabs Bueno at 1st post, but i understand it was hard to judge at 1st sight. Nuno Gomes red card is shameful! How could he do that? Same to Polga when he hit Nuno, he should have seen a direct red card not a double yellow!

Great goal by Simão, the totally pisses on Custodio head and goes for the goal!! :rockman:
And that save by Quim at the end to a Djalo shot!! Superb! :) Though it was pitfull to see him fake injuries when jumping with Sporting forwards, and i'm not talking about the injure at the end, i believe that one was true but the previous ones!

Congrats to Benfica! I lost my bet, Miccoli didnt hurt so fortunately he'll play Man Utd, but he didnt had to run today so he could not have injured!

of course benfica did a good game! but what did you expect? that after beeing winning we had to continue to preassure and attack so sporting could score on a counter-attack? that would not be wise at all. don't forget that we were not playing in restelo against belenenses, but against a rival.

yep, we had the luck to be the first to score, but we started very well the game, nuno gomes did almost score just before ricardo rocha. and i think it is hilarious so many people say something like "oh dear, they scored in the very beginning, and that conditionned the rest of the game" and whinning sh!t like that over and over again. of course that changes the course of the game, in anytime the goal would have been, whenever in the early or in the ending of the game! they had more than 90 minutes to score! it would be worse if the goal was in the last minutes (like sporting did recently against minor teams, or like porto against us).

now i would understand if you say that it was not a spectacular game. in my opinion it was a good and competitive game, and a good display of benfica in a traditionnal difficult away-game. they did just what they had to do and didn't robbed the 3 points. but those classic games are rarely spectacular games as the last porto-benfica was.

I was just reading the famous "Tribunal de O Jogo" and it's funny that they only mention the suposed penalty against Benfica and miss completly the one in Sporting's area with that hand-ball by Nani or Tonel.

You can read it here:
http://www.ojogo.pt/22-284/artigo595673.htm

I'm really looking forward for "Dia Seguinte" on monday, I'm anxious to see how Dias Ferreira will twist reality and blame the refs for the result. We already had a preview by reading that report in Sporting's website...

man I was watching that play in the stadium and even most Sporting fans admitted Miguel Garcia was already falling before Simao touched him. It was a dive pure and simple.

You can see it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muCJRRxa5WE

O JOGO is absolutely shameful. They dont mention that was a handball by Tonel and Bueno tried to score with his hand and nothing got signalled.

I wonder if he had scored, where would the Ronny bashers be today?

i don´t think it's penalty either, miguel garcia is already falling and simao don't even touch him. and the funny thing here is if miguel garcia had really tried to reach the ball, it would probably have a contact with simao's foot, and then, yeah it would have been penalty. :D

and IMO the ball in the tonel's arm isn't penalty either.

otherwise, i hate each time more liedson! what a f#cking clown! i know that our league is full of divers, and there is some who dive a lot in benfica too, but this guy is too much! and when he knows it's impossible to reach the ball he's always trying to kick his opponents (2 times on luisão and one on katsouranis yesterday). and the action with quim in the end of the game :nape: :nape: :nape: oh my god! what he deserved was a good slap in the face like people do to bad-behavied kids

Hahahahaha (H)

you gotta be ******* kidding me! That's what i call "dor de cotovelo"

you see, the fact that we are officially the club on the world with most sócios doesn't mean those sócios have 75 € to spend on a giant toilet!

PS: those fans that were on the stadium were more than enough to support the team during the 90 minutes

A TODOS UM BOM NATAL! (H)

yeah if the tickets were 25€ tops, I definitely would have gone to the stadium with a couple of friends.

Great goal by Simão, but I thought Ricardo facked it up when he was running towards the ball and then hesitated. Whatever, that was a great win for Benfica, congrats to the fans, and I actually like this result more as we now get the chance to run away from SCP tonight.
Rather boring game if you were a neutral, though. :chew:

According to Antena 1, the stadium will be full, so it's a matter of maximize the revenue, in a club with financial problems.

there was something like 8.000 empty seats in the stadium.

Now tell me if that was such good management.

that Khadim mistake was too bad to be true.. is it me, or are Portuguese league games getting worse and worse? This was supposed to be a great weekend of football with the two derbys, but man what a couple of snorefests.

yeah Porto - Boavista matches tend to be a "fruit salad" if you know what I mean. Too bad apart from Bruno Alves there aren't many thugs left on Porto's squad, or it would at least be entertaining.

Rahahahah! :D

Hey guys, Khadim sat on the bench while Carlos was there. Were you expecting him to be any good? :p

Anyway, another 3 points, got past Jaime Caceteiro's team, whatever.
Quaresma is lighting it up lately. And poor Lucas, man. I felt for the guy: he's not a RB and had to put up with Ricardo, Lisandro and even Pepe totally owned him.

Btw, our team's stars are a cigano, a caxineiro and a couple brazilians. How ace is that? (H)

Sporting... :boohoo:

Incrible.. they are out of Uefa competions already! Didnt see this one coming i believed they would revenge last friday game but seems like they're mojo is running out or taking a break....

Better luck tomorrow to Portuguese teams! Only a tragedy can put FCPorto out of next round since the draw fits both and CSKA will have to win tomorrow and i truly believe Hamburg! So go Benfica, it's hard but if they play with that spirit they achieved in some games last year it's possible!!

my predictions:

FCPorto 2-0 Arsenal

ManUtd 1-2 SLBenfica

The only games I am going to watch from Sporting this season will be the "classicos" and the portuguese cup.
