At least they're not from the Bundesliga :fluffy: This is the same team that beat Czech Republic 2-0 a few weeks ago.

Yeah, Cocu's not the old Cocu. He's getting older, so you can't blame him. Seedorf can focus on Milan, van Bommel is far better suited for the Dutch NT. He defends when it's needed.

Now that i noticed even Stam is missing.... how do you think will Van Basten deal with the lack of character that Van Der Sar usually shows without a strong center like Stam is?

I personally like alot the idea of refreshing the team but not totally.....

I hope Van Basten plays Makkay now that FINALLY Kluivert is not there.:p

No idea what you're talking about. :(

Van Hooydonk got nod over him last time. Van Basten is not a big fan of Makaay (learn to spell his name, dude, you're embarrassing yourself.)

He'd have to select ya maw to accomplish that.

Pretty good. The defense is very stable and Wolfsburg are 1st.

Bhoulahrouz amazes me. He came for little money but he's already better than Ujfalusi.

Hey Vagegast do you know why Van Basten doesn't like Makaay. In newspaper Algemeen Dagblad I also read that "Makaay z'n krediet verspeeld heeft bij Van Basten".

That sounds like it's something personal. But I just can't imagine that with Van Basten en Makaay, you couldn't find two nicer, more down to earth guys.

You don't get it don't you?
The absence of Seedorf is just why it's going so well lately. I'm so happy with that new blood. So what they're from the HCE? Finally someone who desides not to take on those old ****heads. Bring on new glory, Don Marco!

Yeah, I wondered too. He said before the games vs. Czech Republic he said Makaay hadn't done well at practice. :| That sounded more like an excuse to me than anything. And that's the only public thing he said on it from what I've heard. Makaay said this in the Parool after van Basten said that: ''Wat we hebben besproken, blijft tussen ons.

You know what I think? This is a total guess but: Makaay is the total opposite of what van Basten used to be as a striker. Maybe he just doesn't like his style of playing. Total guess.

You're right about their characters too, they're both great guys. Just love the way Makaay talks? He's from Limburg isn't he?

I know Makaay takes it easy at training. He has every right so. It's a dutch mentality to train insanely hard. When Stam moved to ManUtd from PSV, the first thing he noticed was how relaxed the training was. Dutch clubs and coaches kill their players during training. I had hoped Van Basten wouldn't do that. Anyway, I can understand why Makaay doesn't get so much playing time, he just doesn't contribute enough footballing wise. It would work if you played with two strikers, one behind the other, Makaay being the deep one. But that's not the style we dutch want to play..

Anyways we'll see what happens in the coming games. I hope we convince with some nice, flowing, quick, high ball circulation, Arsenal-like attacking/dominating kind of football, while winning both games with 4-0 or more, Van Nistelrooij scoring heaps of goals (I want him to take over the national top scorer title from Kluivert).

Oh and BTW Makaay is from Wijchen, which is between Arnhem and Nijmegen, so that would be Gelderland, in stead of Limburg. (H)

You Dutch always have to play this spectacular kind of football. The result (almost) doesn't matter.

Makaay would be an id
eal player for the German team. There's still no successor to Gerd Müller.
