I wonder if they were in Lisbon for this deal and not Nani. Anyways, this is the first time i'm hearing of this guy, but should be interesting to see what happens with him. Fergie thinking about Scholes now?

But if we also get Nani, that will be one interesting attack. Rooney will have to learn portugese to communicate with the other three.


I'm wondering why there is no news of Hargeaves yet though, he was supposed to sign yesterday, maybe once Gill is back, he will complete the Owen deal.

The Nani deal is offical now as well. That's awesome, i can't wait for pre-season already. But i doubt that we'll be buying a striker now, unless we sell Saha.

OMG!! We've got Nani as well! This is just amazing. As for Owen, he flew back to Canada to see his Mum this week, he's tying up the contract next week. He passed the medical and all that so it's just inking the deal now. I bet United will unveil all three together.

Now THAT should give us good options when coming up against teams like Milan. If we can get them all to gel in together, the coaches are gonna have nightmares, thinking about who to cover. Ronaldo must be on cloud 9, right now.

Man Utd swoop for Anderson & Nani



Manchester United have agreed "in principle" deals to sign Anderson from FC Porto and Nani from Sporting Lisbon.

 The Premiership champions are set to make 19-year-old Brazilian Anderson and 20-year-old Portuguese winger Nani their first signings of the summer.
"Terms are agreed with both players and an announcement will take place once a medical and other procedures are done," said a statement on United's website.

United are also on the brink of signing Owen Hargreaves from Bayern Munich.

Like Rui Costa already said, Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson and Rooney :eek::o Amazing work by the United board. If i was a supporter of United´s rivals i would be worried.

I am I the only one thinking someone is going to leave, to pay for these transfers, there isn't room for Carrick Hargreaves Scholes Rooney, Ronaldo, Nani Anderson and Giggs.

Wouldn't have thought so - he's just been tied to a four year extension. This is a deal with a view to replacing Scholes and Giggs longterm.

At least that's what I reckon.

Well first i wanna see if United bought them and is going to loan at least one of them. If not, i think Giggs will slowly start to be dropped. I doubt that Ronaldo would leave now after he renewed and specially since United bought portuguese speaking players. Ronaldo and Queiroz will be extremely important in Nani´s and Anderson´s adaptation process.

Maybe there's truth in the story Nani will be allowed to remain at Sporting till January. It would make sense if playing time was shared between Nani/Giggs and Anderson/scholes as Scholes and Giggs could be saved and Nani and Anderson can be protected at the same time. Also I imagine that Hargreaves will also give us the option of saving Gary Neville (RB) but also most likely to be another tactical weapon in his DMF berth.

That to me wouldn't make sense, I don't think West Ham would be the right move for Michael, in that he's tasted UCL football and has a medal round his neck, besides I really don't see him being sold, he's a very good addition to the United team. I think fringe players like O'Shea and Fletcher would make way first. Actually I'd like to see Fletcher converted to RB as cover for Gary, I thought he did exceptionally well there.
