Yes because Merson currently runs the club's academy, so he definitely has in depth knowledge on our team. You know, the youngsters are so poor, we're leading the Reserves league, and we still loaned out our whole treble winning Reserve team this season. We're so poor... :boohoo:

Merson knows nothing about Manchester United, it's academy, or the players. Most of the team that won all those trophies last season and the year before have been farmed out on-loan to gain experience. You deserve a slap for disgracing this thread with the opinion of Paul Merson, to be fucking honest.

Crewe pushed us to the limit and i must say if it wasnt for Kuzshack we would have been out. Anyway i personally would like to see beckham return. A true legend...and one of the few players who would burst a lung or run that extra mile for the team.

Ah yes Sven. The same Sven who;

Opted for an untried 17 year old (Walcot) over an in form striker who netted 20 odd goals in the Premiership (Darren Bent). A player so good that he hadn't even played for his club's first team by the way. Oh and he didn't play him either.

Included several injured players in the squad (including Rooney) And keeping faith with a listless and lazy David Beckham despite having a jet heeled winger in Aaron Lennon on the bench.

Decided to play Wayne Rooney AND Steven Gerrard - two top class players out of position.

Played Frank Lampard alongside Gerrard when it was clear Lampard was ineffective and in poor form.

Oh but I forgot, it was Cristiano's fault anyway :rolleyes:

As for Paul Merson, he should stick to talking about Arsenal - he clearly knows nothing about the world outside N4 anyway.

Suprised to see Tim Lovejoy doing a semi decent job of being impartial and proper presenting on Sky. Hopefully the stale format of Soccer AM might get a badly needed revamp now.

I digress, this is the Man United thread anyway, we shouldn't be discussing Mr Burns lookalikes or drunken Arsenal hasbeens anyway.

That was a tough match last night, but we got the job done. Glad Kieran Lee has broken his duck for United's first team. Thought young David Gray did okay too.

I'm also glad Guiseppie netted for the barcodes, bout time they gave him a chance!

About them kids bein loaned out,I'm most excited about the quartet at Antwerp FC.I hope they all get a good run in their first team together.This way they can all mature and gel as a group.Lookin at the list,they are the best of the fledglings and its clear they all have a shot at the first team when they return as better and matured players.I dont know why Adam Eckersley is 'dumped' all the way to denmark and I cant understand why Chris Eagles wants to go to NEC Nijmegen when he can stay in england with Ben Foster at Watford.The rest are all top top exports.No reserve team in england was better than us last season and thats a fact.

there was this player with the golden hair that came on during the crewe game....god he sucks we should discard him ASAP. Fergie was having a go at him as well.

The other youngsters did well...
