Terrible first half performance. Second half was a great improvement, especially with Giggs on. Happy for Vidic, first goal which actually was his second, Rooney with two assists and Ole doing what he does best. Saha had a poor performance honestly, but did his job which was to score. Could have had a hat-trick.

yea saha infuriated me with his decision makings at times but what a 2nd half. We looked a total different team when giggs came on.. and Wayne had a decent game...unlucky not to have scored. We definitely cant play without width...we need giggs and ronaldo fit all the time.

Disappointed that Ferguson even contemplated using the dreadful 4-5-1 tactic, it didn't work, and never will and the second-half proved that.

We switched to 4-4-2 at half-time, threw Giggsy on and produced a very good, and satisfying second-half performance where we could've had five at least, the team actually had a clue in the second-half. Rooney could've scored if he was a bit more selfish today, unlucky in the first-half, on the turn hitting the crossbar, and in the second half decided to pass to Ole instead of taking the keeper on himself. Rooney was back to his best today. Last year it would've took Ferguson up until the 80th minute to actually switch from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2.

It was only a matter of time before Nemanja scored his first goal, the guy is capable of scoring plenty of goals from set-pieces. Saha had a mixed/frustrating game, but it was his athleticism to stick his leg in the air to win the ball that won the game for us.

I don't understand why Jonah is not getting a look in, is he nobbing with the bosses daughter? words fucking fail me everytime I see O'Shea wearing the shirt, the cunt.

Are you sure that was even 4-5-1? To me it looked like this
Brown------Ferdinand-----Vidic----Evra
Ole-----CO'arrshieack-----------------
------------Scholes------------------
----------------------Rooney---------
------------Saha---------------------

Same thing as against Benfica, where it worked badly as well.

As soon as we switched to 4-4-2 and stuck O'shea somewhere as far as possible, we started playing for real.

Rooney was amazing, that assist to Ole was superb, but that cross to Saha, with an outside of his foot, when Saha missed, was out of this world. Or that time, when he blocked a clearing ball from the left and muscled his way through into the box. No goals for Rooney yet, but his touch is definietly back.

3 points is all that mattered today and it's good to see Ole score again, he's back baby (H).
I've read today that Freddy Adu is talking with ManUtd to join them in the winter or next season, anyone heard of that?
