No no, a player that shows a lack of respect and tries to stir up trouble, wouldn't show up to practice and say that he will never play for his club again. Owen really wants to play here badly and he is trying to show that to everybody. If he wasn't respectful of his club, then we would have bought him in august.

Nobody peforming at such a high level as consitent at the moment. At this moment in time I can't think of a better player, whether he keeps it up we will see.

I'd just liek to remind you that both awards are based on a calender year. And because ronaldo wasn't particalurly outstanding at the end of last season, he was decent in the world cup, but that's it, he probably won't win it. Votes are cast soon as well. So Over a whole calender year I don't think Ronaldo stands much chance against Eto'o, Ronaldinho or anyone like that.

First time i actually agree with Dreath. Ronaldo has been amazing so far but let´s not get carried away.

Im not sayin hes going to win it, I was just sayin hes probably the best player about at this moment in time, until his peformances start to drop.

Saha and Vidic are definite starters in Sir Alex's first XI...I assume Saha will not play the full game as he did start for France and we do have them Scousers to beat after Wigan.He got a goal for france and that will boost his confidence even more and we need him fresh for Pool.Not sure if Vidic did even feature for Serbia,he was on the bench though.If he didnt play,he should start alongside Rio.

Who do you think are our best central defence partners right now?

Rio+Vidic or Rio+Brown? I would go for Vidic, coz he is really great in the air and he looks more confident.

Ronaldo is on form certainly. And Fabregas merked him... just felt like pointing it out >_>

anyway, i'd go with Brown and Ferdinand against Reading, they've got a fast team and Vidic isn't the most mobile of players.
