That's a lot of bullsh*t. We got shafted for 8 million as alluded to by Rafa. Owen wasn't ****e. I loved Robbie far more, but the fact is that Owen was in a team which was playing crap football and for most games had Heskey as a strike partner. Owen was overated IMO, but deffo not ****e. Incidentally, Rick Parry still wants to bring him back to the club in the future from what I understand.

Lose horribly I expect. The thing which dissapointed me about the 'boro game was the fact that even with no others available, Mellor still didn't get a run. Added to that, we had 6 midfiled players on the pitch and still came off second best in the middle of the park. A sh*te performance all round really.

We need to decent centre back. Hyypia was shown up on the weekend. He looked completly out of his depth. Carragher is doing a great job and deserves a half decent partner.

As for strikers, hopefully the "rumours" about Morientes joining us are proved to be true

Agreed. If we have a young talented striker, use him. There's a good chance he'll prove himself.

is Mellor good enough though people? I am unimpressed with the guy and would rather see sinama start. I read henchoz is going for a free to Charlton.

Mellor isn't suited to the tactic Rafa is playing. Mellor i more of aforward then a striker. Someone too make goals, not score them really.

I say put Kewell back on the left wing, then put Sinama up-front as the main striker. The only problem is I can see him getting sent off for Diving because of his size and that flurry of 5 matches last season where he had about 8 penalty appeals turned down.

Don't agree there Liam and Ian Rush has said he's one of the most natural goal scorers he's ever seen. I don't think that he's a long term answer or anything but is is deffo a striker.
