The Official Arsenal Thread [Season 2006/07]

That's mostly the B-team, yea.

Rafa is a genius. Down 5-1, Crouch on the bench, attacker gets injured. He brings on a centerback. Hero.

Well we know that 'pool were absolute s.h.i.t but still, hats off for really stuffing it to them tonight. I just couldn't stop laughing it was so bad. Benitez is just so clueless that I will be amazed if he lasts much longer.

I admire the scousers for still singing "walk alone" at the end but don't you think there comes a time, like tonight, when your team and manager should hear from the fans just how pissed off the fans are? There's loyalty and then there's just blind stupidity.

Very entertaining game all in all. Best laugh I've had for ages.

Boy is Dudek crap!

Well I was wondering about this. He has been really really bad, and I just wonder if this was payback time for the deplorable way that Liverpool treated him after HE won them the CL final. Lets face it, he never had a future at Liverpool anyway so what has he got to lose by telling Benitez that those 9 goals that he let in, were just for him. I look at the goals and I am more convinced every time I watch them that he did not make much of an effort for any of them. I think he saved the penalty just because he knew he could.

Arsenal offered two-for-one swap deal

Acccording to sources in Spain, Real Madrid are prepared to offer unsettled striker Antonio Cassano as well as Julio Baptista to make Jose Antonio Reyes' stay at the Bernabeu permanent.

The 24-year-old striker needs games to get his form back and Real are prepared to sell Cassano for just £3.5m.

At this stage, it's not clear whether Arsenal will accept the offer, as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger seems happy with his current strikeforce.

Should he join Arsenal, Cassano will have to wait for his opportunity to shine, just like he has at Real.

But his potential is undoubted. Cassano was once described by Giovanni Trapattoni as "a genius, the future of Italian football."

The pacey Italy international became the world's most expensive teenager, when he moved from Bari to Roma for £23m in 2001.

Great result 2-0 away to blackburn especially considering gilberto was sent off (incorrectly) very early on.

Although I think Cassano is a very talented player I don't think he would ever fit into the EPL. Wenger would have to be a genius to make it work in my opinion. The rest of the deal sounds great (Baptista has shown great potential and reminds me much of the Brazilian Ronaldo and I really don't ever want to see Reyes and his **** finishing again)

Good Game yesturday, especially with ten men (Idiot ref). Now to exorcise some red devils
idiot ref? Gilberto retaliated, relatiation is a red card offence. Savage got the Yellow for the initial foul he deserved. But still, Gilberto deserved the red for kicking out.
