I doubt Busch would have saved that. That's precisely the way you beat Busch - high bending shots like that. I'm not so sure about Hartman or Cannon either.

Any goalkeeper in the league could have saved that shot IF they saw it coming. That's the beauty of it, O'Brien was so far out that it would have taken any goalkeeper by surprise. And you can't hit it any better than O'Brien did. That ball had pace, bend AND it dipped down - perfect shot.

:jap: yup...

It was an amazing shot. Im not denying that.

But im convinced that a good keeper would of had that. I would of atleast dove for the ball. Guzan was still on his feet. Plus, his expression says it all. He knew he should of had that.

Stick to your own country, nobody wants you here.

I beg to differ... there are many Americans such as Beto, Shiryu and myself who want them here. If it was up to us though, Club America wouldnt exist all together... but hey, we have to suffer with them, now u do to. :D

Charlotte Eagles to join in 2008

:(

They just beat Northern VA 7-0. That's not an error either. They have the be in USL D1, it's insane to have them in D2 on that budget.

They'd never be in MLS tho, they have a religious connection (Protestantism, note the orange) that effects their signing policy, MLS wouldn't accept it and rightfully so.

I'd say if the south got a team, it'd be either Charlotte, Greensboro, or Charleston. Atlanta only supports the Falcons when Vick plays, why would they support a soccer team? Anywhere else down here is too right wing to support a 'foreign' game. I know some people on here are right wing, but the ones here are a totally different animal.

Charlotte would support a team that loses, hell, they all lose (the NBA thing is a personal reason, they burned us and we blow everything out of proportion). Greensboro is a nice little city, loads of soccer people there, no other pro team. Best bet in Charleston would be to promote the Battery and expand Blackbaud to 20K.

I will be moving to Charlotte this summer and I was thinking the closes MLS team. All I could think of was Columbus and D.C. That was really disappointing because I will be moving from Columbus and have been able and have taken for granted the enjoyment of attending professional matches. I hope Charlotte gets an expansion team in the near future. It would definetely make my move a lot easier.

If any southern city getd a team it would be Charleston.

Also this weekend the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA face off in the first derby in the MLS history. They are calling it the 'Honda Super Clásico'.

Yea, Charleston support the battery well. That stadium is amazing for their budget, they did it all with private money too.

"Honda Super Clásico"

Oh god, it couldn't be worst, the MLS just could never out-do themeselves ever again, this has got to be the worst gimmick in the history of L.A.

What's next, the TELMEX Chivas vs America? The Fly Emirates Chelsea vs Arsenal? What were they thinking?

Like my brother, most if not all, MFL followers in the U.S. think of this as just another match between a bad mls team and a real bad mls team. Doing this will not bring them closer into the MLS, it will only prove to them how the MLS just wants their money, treating them as idiots. "Oh!, it's got Clasico and Chivas in it, we have to go see this!" :nape:

Problably the only people that will care about this "Clasico" are the Galaxy fans.

Chivas USA needs to get some personality fast, or they can start saying goodbye to the only fanbase they could ever get.

Well, for whoever the new marketing "genius" that MLS hired for this season is, this Super Clásico crap is strike three. Strike one was the SkyCam or whatever the hell it was called. Strike two is the damn side-by-side commercial shít. It honestly would not suprise me, if there was a huge logo in the middle of the field at the HDC tomorrow. Whoever they are, they need to be fired now.

We don't need gimmicks, the sport will sell itself.

Exactly my thoughts.

Chivas USA should sell its self on the long run, by letting the fans develope a liking for the players, by letting the rivalry against galaxy grow little by little from the stands, by letting the team make itself a place in the league, NOT by shoving it down people's throats...c'mon, that will never work.

Someone needs to be fired.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Clint Dempsey's celebration after his goal vs. DC was legendary. He hit a home run at RFK! (H)

Great diving header too.

ESPN 2 not showing the most anticipated game of the year. Over the NFL draft.

Fúck-Fúcking-tastic!.... :lui:

Forget i had ever said they could never out-do themselves. Proved me wrong. My fault.

I thought the same thing, best celebration i've seen, the only thing that could have made it better was if the rest of the team was playing baseball with him.
