Two big mistakes in the penalty area cost Nigeria today. They should not have made those two tackles. Besides that Nigeria lost there cool after the second pk. They should have just continue playing like they were at 1-1. They became hungry for the goal and wound up attacking less in the last 15 min. Argentina did what was needed for them to win throughout the tournement. It was a heck of a game though.

Both penalties were valid, and Argentina played a very smart game...defended well, and took the opportunities and made the best out of them when necessary....

ROBBED I TELL YOU ROBBED, we were robbed that game should of been 3-2. Everyone could see that he would make calls nigeria. He called 2pks for them but none for us, my god this is a final call it even.

Nigeria had most chances to score.... but congrats Argentina... what a great team... and Messi is a "one man army for them"... he's the main reason why Argentina is such a great team.... without him, they would just be a good team...

Messi played 4 or 5 matches already with Barça in la Liga and scored 2 goals (well, 1, because the ref disallowed the first one). He's the youngest player who has played at Barça.

I guess Rijkaard will give him more minutes next season. Probably he will stay in the first team.

There was actually a penalty in the last minute of the first half for nigeria, but the ref didn't call it. The guy got clearly pushed from behind and taken out by the last defender, clear penalty to me. Too bad for nigeria though, you can't make mistakes like that in the final and expect to escape.
