I'm not sure why Figo didn't start, but I'd guess it's because he wasn't fit enough to play the whole 90 so Mancini used him as a late substituion. Reason why I'd say this is Figo usually does amazing in his new role in the center, but last game against Sporting you could tell with him not being fit that the team struggled.
