Haha.
I still stand by that, all that has been posted on this thread are the results of one survey from over a year ago.

I really dont know about that, all the up to date information I have is what I read in the newspapers so that is all I can use.

Also, you dont take into account all the aspects of economy. I'll give it to you that in 2003 the GDP of Germany was higher than Britain, though that was a year ago.

But, take a look and the GDP real growth rate:

Britain: 2.1%
Germany: -0.1%

the GDP per capita:

Britain: $27700
Germany: $27600

and unemployment rate:

Britain: 5.1%
Germany: 10.7%

GDP is simply the total market value of all the goods and services produced within the borders of a nation during a specified period. Hardly an accurate measure of economy.

um....rates changes, in some countries from week to week....

for Christs sake, the GREEK economic growth rate is 4.9% but my country's GDP sucks......

sorry to inform you of this but GDP IS the most reliable economic indicator....not GDP rate..

in addition unemployment rates are drawn per population.......so that can't be used accurately.....

Greece's unemployment rate is 9.7%......my country is not in better economic possition than Germany

As I said before GDP is what matters.....the Germans produce, they always have....

British economy is based on production, and levies/loans, and banking/insurance deals between them and the U.S.

When deciding the economic strength of a country, all these factors must be taken into account and much more.

As for British economy relying on America's, that's just bs and you know it.

Your comments aren't controversial at all, they're simply diametrically opposed to mine. And I see how you've jumped onto the BNP bandwagon and failed to address any of my other points.

Finishing off with "you sir, are a fool" was a masterstroke though (Y)

Erm, yes. I am a lefty through and through - member of the Australian Labor Party and all. Having conservative views is an invitation for me to flame you. Plus the fact your posts annoy me.

No wonder I hate you socialists so much if you're that quick tempered and intollerant.

You calling me BNP is like me calling you a communist extremest. The fact you use such an idiotic generalisation says alot about you.

Perhaps when you think of proper arguments rather than resorting to personal insults and attempts at humour, I might be able to give a more expansive response.

Well, considering my number 1 beef with you is that I don't like you, the very nature of our argument is personal.

But, just for the sake of reinforcing the fact that you are hypocritical - check this post, by you, referring to me, from Page 3:

But of course, Mr quasi-intelligent over here has moved on now, he's on Page 7 - and so far above personal insults..

Ah, but that was in response to your personal insulting of me. You didnt seriously expect me to sit back and let you throw sh!t at me did you? You took this thread to personal insults, not me.

You seemed halfway to martyrdom in the post before this, and now you're quite willing to throw "sh!t"? Interesting.

Anyhoo, I'm off to see The Streets now, it's been nice having this little banter with you.

Same here, I'm kinda disappointed you're leaving. And, to be fair, you've not done a bad job arguing ;)
