From what I remember he's not given a fully deserved penalties for you guys. Against Hazard especially.

Red cards ruin important finals and semis and should be used very sparingly. I think both games were refereed very well. Atkinson also enjoys a less than stellar reputation in his domestic league but he kept that game flowing great and got the key calls right, in my opinion.

No yellow for giving away a penalty as the last defender?

No punishment for Marcelo lashing out and kicking lichtsteiner off the ball? I know licht is a **** but still

Haha now that's surprising. Tuned in just as Valencia got their second. And what happened to Kroos, injured or was taken off because of precaution? If that's so then they'll be in a deep misery against Juve in the second leg which suits me. :P I guess it's congrats to Barca if the score stays like that!

Well, the post has gotten on the way four times, and Keeper made a great save, on top of a penalty save against Ronalo. Otherwise we would be up 6-2... :(

I hope it ends as a draw. That would complete my series of bets getting them all right. :P Won the money back (should I lose) at poker anyway. So it's all good. But that Ronaldo penalty miss was bad, it would've been great for you guys if you had gotten a goal back in the end of the first half. Also Diego Alves has got an amazing record at saving penalties. I'm not going to bother googleing it, ah for fuck's sake I will.

In total, Alves has faced 37 penalty kicks since his arrival in Spain, conceding 18 and stopping 17 [the remaining two were off-target shots from the kicker.

Pretty good statistics, no? :P

Jesus! That Diego Alves save again. No comments really. The guy is amazing.

EDIT: Oh and I think Chicha is a lot better with the ball than he was for us. Being in Spain has definitely helped him in that regard. Always wanted to say that.

WHAT A FUCKING GOAL BY ISCO! Now I hope the score stays like this. Negredo shouldn't have missed those two chances. Paco Alcacer is a lot better.

What an epic match, Diego Alved probably at his best performance ever
Agreed about the epic match part. He has done it before as well, against Real Madrid to be honest again, at least I'm quite sure I saw some game years ago when he played so so well. He has always been a quality goalkeeper and has probably hit his peak right now. I just wonder why was Guaita preferred to him at times years ago.

This is all well and good but last year Atlético also won the league and were on a high before the CL final. If there's any team in the world that can win the CL back to back for the first time even when seemingly on bad form it's this Real Madrid.

Don't you are dare compare. Atléti was fucked up at the end of the season. We are fresh, confident and a much better team.

I understand all that and actually think that after that first leg, Barça are now the favourites. And after Juve I'd even like Barça the most to win it. My point is if there's any team in the world that could do it, it's them.

Don't even remind me of that! :D That Diego Costa injury and the risk Simeone took was just wrong, cost them a subsitution and they really were fucked up like you said in the end.

I agree with Filly. From my point of view, we are the underdog now, and all we have going for us will be the CL. If we get past Juve, I think we can knock off Barca.
