So, is Ramos playing B2B? He's certainly not the No. 6.

Do they have no one else? Pepe had experience at DM. Ramos is not Zouma.

Ramos was pretty decent vs Sevilla and Atletico but that's all. Ancelotti played him single DM last season vs Barça and he was evem worse. Kroos is not helping either.

This 4-4-2 is Madrid's classic system.

I get that Ronaldo is a a lot bigger, faster, and stronger than him, but you have to try. Pirlo was a lot closer to where that ball was going than Ron was.

Other than Arnau none mentioned James who orchestrated the whole attack which led to the goal. The guy is in top form and a 0,5 m tap-in still gets more recognition.

Filipower

Bunburyist
Well he had a rebound pass to Carvajal who cleverly lobbed it back to him, than he had a nice assist, it's not like he planned the whole thing in advance.

Licht could have contested it too

Barzagli would have cut it out :(

Arnau

James assist to Ronaldo were damn difficult. Weak foot, tought position, vidal very close... and he managed to put it right in Cretino's head.

Pirlo is damn useless. In addition to exerting zero influence with the ball, he was a spectator for that Ronaldo goal.

He's a good decoy according to Ancelotti:

Pressure on Pirlo made us open up our midfield line too much and it allowed them to find a through ball for Tevez, something that happened a lot in the first half. We preferred to give him more room to prevent that..
