Well, the worst possible set of results for CITY, excpet for Leeds crashing against Arsenal. The biggest losers from this round were definitely Leceister, who are now level on points with Wolves and confirm their position as equal-most likely to be dropped, and CITY, who absolutely needed to win to get ahead of the pack. Blackburn will be feeling a bit more comfortable, but the big games of the next round are definitely Lecesiter vs. Manchester CITY and Portsmouth vs. Leeds.

Dumisani - article on soccerent about Macmanaman's season of injury here http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=297285&cc=3436 . Yes, he has the archilles, but also a bunch of smaller injuries.

This is weird. I am looking at soccernet.com and under the standings it says :
Blackburn 34 37

Portsmouth 33 37

Man City 34 34

Leeds 34 32

Leicester 34 28

Wolverhampton 34 28
The first number is for games played, and the second if for points.
Here is a nicer list.

  1. Blackburn 34 37
  2. Portsmouth 33 37
  3. Man City 34 34
  4. Leeds 34 32
  5. Leicester 34 28
  6. Wolverhampton 34 28
    [/list=1]
So wouldnt this mean that Portsmouth have played 33 games? Right?

heres the quick link to the tables-http://soccernet.espn.go.com/tables?league=ENG.1&cc=5901

Leceister have a couple of key games ahead against ManCity and Pompey. :o

Man City has been miserable lately, I dunno what screwed up their form. Everyone on the team has been performing poorly. Even Keegan himself is in some trouble.

Looking ahead I think Leceister City and Leeds have the toughest schedules. But I think Leeds United can play better than Man City can, however I want City to stay up, Sun Jihai... :(

IMO the relegation teams will be Wolves (:( ), Leceister City, and Leeds. It'll be sad to see Wolves go but they just aren't at the EPL level yet.:kader:

  1. Yeah, they have it right now, but this morning they definitely had Portsmouth as having played 34 games.

I can't help it, can't help to be a little optimistic after our performances for last 3 matches (just didn't have any luck for Man City and Bolton (well then again, we didn't defend so yea...)). But itz scary, the more optimistic I get the worst it will feel at the end of the season :( :(. It seems that now that the pressure is off (with everyone saying we're gonna get relegated for sure adn it is looking so), they seem to have gained back their confidence and are relaxed therefore playing to their best ability. Hah you never know, football is a funny game. If say, Man City lose all their remaining games (ok maybe too much to ask for...), Leeds screw up their recent form after the Arsenal match and same with Leicester. We just might pull off teh greatest escape ever in the premiership.

But neverless even if we drop, we should go straight back up, especially since Jones has said we are keeping Camara, Cort, Vio Ganea which will rip DIvision 1 Defenders apart. Just hoping we can keep Silas and Okoronkwo. Okoronkwo has been playing great in the last 3 games (Dave Jones, did it seriously take him that long too adapt???). And Silas although unlikely (I think D. Jones doesn't like him) had a great game vs Villa but hasn't played since. We have a good blend of experienced and youth right now, with Clyde making a great debut season, and hopefully with Murray, Lescott coming back. If we do come back up, we had this season's experience, so we should do much better.

But yea... I shouldn't get my hopes too high :(

Damn, only now have I realized how close we have been to survival if we didnt throw thsoe games away...

only we hadn't conceded a late goal at Bolton
only we hadn't conceded a late goal at Liverpool
only we hadn't conceded a late goal v Man City
only the ref had given us a panalty in the last seconds v Bolton last week

We'd be 2 points above the relegation zoen :( :( :(

Is that all? You should have seen Leicester's results, they threw away more games than Wolves,

I dunno, it may well happen. We need at least two wins, and we are a team who went through a 14 game winless streak, it is that that will be the source of our problems if we get relegated.

But if one team can get out of the bottom three, it is Leeds.

I would like Wolves and Leeds to stay, but i'm sure one of them will go down, and it's going to be Wolves for me (unfortunately). I feel pity for them, i get Premiership highlights here and they lost so many silly points, especially last match against Bolton. They're just so ******* unlucky.

Leeds will pull off some good results, Leicester will go down and my third candidate for relegation is City. They look so ordinary, and they're not playing with their hearts lately. Too bad we wont have the annual Man Utd embarassment day. (H)

I think the three that are there now will go down. IMO Man City will scrape through, possibly due to the fact that the teams there now have abysmal goal differences.
