I think Wolves, Leicester and Blackburn are for the drop. I hoped Leeds would go down but I think Blackburn will take their place

Hope Leeds stay up but they may perform badly for the remaining games if they get stung by us real bad. a 1-0/2-0 loss or a draw against us would almost certainly mean they will stay up, anything worse, down they go.

Wolves are most certainly out, and Leicster to join them. Iwish that Pompey will be the third team but remember no team that has been on bottom at Christmas has ever stayed up, so leeds may be plunging.

It's a pity Leeds have to face us after such a good run.
I feel they'll get nothing from Highbury but then again, that's how I felt last season.

I think if you look at it on paper Portsmouth is the least talented team in the bunch. I can't see them staying up and all their fans care about is beating Southampton.

LMAO ur kidding right? On paper we have by far the best team of the 3 that came up, and I think we'd easily be in the top half if we didnt have as many injuries as we did, at one time we only had Teddy up front!

Man how can u say we're the least talented? Say some names to back that up

We got Faye, Yakubu, Smertin, Teddy, De Zeew, Taylor, Linvoy, Berger, Stone, Lua lua

How can that be weaker than the likes of Walker, Izzet, Guppy, Camara, Ince, Cameron

If you think it is than your havin a laugh

And yeah, all we wanted to do was to beat scum, n we did. Wouldnt you if you hadnt seen them beforehand for years? If not then you aint a true footballing fan man, damn I sooo cant believe you said that. N out of the BUNCH, lol... Whatever

Pompey are stayin up tho

We have one of the best home records in the league

I think we'll draw against Manchester United, it'll be a tough game but why not? We havent lost in a while and we beat Birmingham, so I don't see why not. :)

Leicester City have : Izzet, Dickov, Ferdinand, Bent, Ellioit, Guppy, Nalis, Guppy, Fruend. They are a better team than Pompey.

Wolves have alot more heart than Portsmouth. They have had awful luck and they have a better team.

Pompey are banking off LuaLua to help them that is not a good sign. The only player who has keeped Pompey afloat all season is Shaka Hisolp.

Other than that the higlight of Pompey's season will be being 1 up at Highbury and the Portsmouth fans singing "We're going to win the League"

I hope that Leicester will go down, on the matter of the other two teams.. I dunno. Wolves looks to be going, but well it's not actually sealed yet. They have been a tough opponent to Manchester United and Chelsea.

Leeds and City should stay up.. :)

Ok, time for some news stories.

Soccernet have the Blackburn vs. Leceister fixture as their 'Game of the Week' http://soccernet.espn.go.com/feature?id=297263&cc=3436.

This is probably the biggest of the games, given both teams are in danger of relegation, and the outcome could well determine what happens for the remaining games. Leceister MUST win to have a sniff of escape, while if Rovers shade it then they may well develop the safety mindset given they will be on 37 points. A draw would be better for Rovers, especially if CITY fail against Southampton.

The other big game is the Arsenal vs Leeds fixture. If Leeds can secure a point at least, then they may well have the confidence and determination to pull an escape act off. If however Arsenal tear them to shreds, it may be the straw that breaks the camels back.

In other news, Keegans back at training  :( (H)

WTF? Oh well, losing 3-1 at home is pretty much expected given the way this season has gone. CITY absolutely HAD to get the win to set the mentality for the next 4 games, but NO. Congratulations to Wolves and Portsmouth for showing the sort of spine we need at the moment.

From now on, not only do we have to win, we also need Leeds to screw up their final games.

Yeah, a bit harsh of the fans. If it had been against Leciesiter, ok I might have accpeted that, but the fans should be getting behind the team for the final stretch of games, and vent their feelings then. The players must get out of the hole they have dug themselves, and the fans need to support this.

Macmanaman can leave anytime. Persistent injuries have blighted his stint at CITY this season and Keegans gamble of getting into Europe by getting older and experienced players from other clubs on the cheap (Bosvelt, Tarnat, Macmanaman, Seaman, Fowler) has backfired. Of them all, Tarnat and perhaps Bosvelt are the only ones who can hold their heads high.

what's up with mcmanaman? he never had this many persistent injuries while he was with us:o apparently it's his achilles or something. and yea, the whole age thing was a massive gamble, and looked what's happened now
