I think I would be tempted to go for this:

Possibly Cahill and Henderson in for Drinkwater and Stones if I go a bit more for head over heart, but i definitely believe in this formation

Vardy is on fire, you cant drop him now from a 6 games tournament.

I was thinking of him as a super sub, but yeah the alternative would be in a two striker formation with Kane, sterling and lallana on wings and Alli-Dier in the middle. I like that too but it's not as solid.

Everything Hogson does wrong is not surprising because he was never qualified for the job other than being English. Vardy as a left winger is worth a try though (I am assuming he is just trying him out there) because he is fast but I don't know if he can cross.

Vardy as left winger could work like Henry on the left wing but its too close to the EUROs to try things like that.

I meant playing style! They can't obviously be compared by quality. Both are fast and agile, you can't deny that.

Henry was much more technical gifted and complete player (better knowledge of the game) Vardy is only related to finishing. England were much better when both (Vardy-Kane) player together up front.

Good squad. I think Hog will play with 2 strikers so 4 strikers is fair. Rooney should play in the hole so he doesn't count as a striker.

Drinkwater, Delph and Townsend have been left out. I think Wilshere should have been left out maybe Sturge also because they have not played much this season.

I disagree with leaving out Drinkwater and giving place to Wilshere - our history of hoping that just-back-from-long-injury players will suddenly be at their best again right at the beginning of the tournament is extensive and constantly failed. The defence makes me very nervous but there's not much Roy could have done about that. I agree with the decision to take both rashford and Sturridge.

Very poor game. Hogson should make a surprise start for Rashford in the first game because he WILL score. He has scored in his first game of everything this season.

Hogson is a very poor manager, all he does is to line up the best possible XI. lol at Kane taking corners...

Roy only knows tactics from football magazines produced for ten year old children in the 1980s. This diamond formation is the same one Sven was trying to use 15 years ago.

Being managed by Roy is actually worse that having absolutely no manager at all. My only hope is that he is so out of his depth he won't even think to give the defence any instructions and they will just concentrate on defending.
