The CM08 thread

i was using CM08 manager which i got working, in my previous Thread i said i would go 'Open - Fifa 08', but instead i wen't one option down, and as i've read, i did it all, deleted my D.Squads, played the game, worked perfect, come home from school today and it all still works fine, added the spurs kits, some more boots, and edited the spurs team, so they are called Spurs all the time, instead of tottenham, i also did arsenal and chelsea, I then closed everything down (saving everything and all work fine still), and turned my computer off, came back on and now i can't open Fifa 08 with the CM08 again, i'm not sure what i've done and this is probably a lot of writing, but i was getting excited about adding more stuff and i can't please HELP!!!...

I'll explain my process again.
Open up Creation Master 08,
Clicked Open - Select Lan.db
Wen't on Fifa.db (then Eng.db i think)
then i get error saying

I did it this way the first time and it worked fine, the game had no crashes or anything,
It wont let me just 'Open - Fifa 08' either, so thats not the solution, and yes, i have tried Regerating everything, and searched for hidden and duplicated files.

Now it just won't work??

Is there a version of CM08 which works with UEFA 08?

I really need it because I would love to edit some of UEFA 08 teams and import some to FIFA 08 (I believe it is possible).

There MUST be some UEFA 08 editing utility. I'm sick of autoinstallers!

Ok, I figured out the problem. It either had to do with the countries data or graphics somehow.

As of right now I don't have the problem anymore.

hey I have a problem, I have FIFA 08 and i have CEP installed and i then installed 4 stadiums and know my game doesn't open it just comes up with an error message saying fifa08.exe has had an error and has to close. so i know its the stadiums becuase before i installed them the game worked. So how do you uninstall/delete the stadiums? I do have CM08 installed. PLEASE HELP ME

That's why I hate .exe patches! Because of them, we will NEVER be able to create a perfectly complete FIFA because .exe patches can't be mixed with other patches.

I tried to start an action to redistribute ALL .exe patches as .cmps but it didn't gain much interest and most patch authors wouldn't agree with this. What a shame.

Ok thx for the info and it was not a exe. file it was a cmp. file and it still didn't work. And i don't know if this is a problem with CM08 but when i went on practice mode all my players AI and my players were all whereing the same bright yellow, Orange, and green wierd looking thing. so what is the problem

I meant CEP! CEP is an .exe file, not the Stadiums.

It is CEP who is guilty of ruining your game, not the stadiums! CEP, as every .exe patch DOESN'T ALLOW TO ALTER IT IN ANY WAY (well, maybe it allows to change some kits/faces/graphics but it does not allow installing any .cmp patches)! That's why I hate CEP and all automatic-installing patches. They don't allow us to make perfect FIFA.

So, in conclusion, it's not the CM08's fault! It's OckHam's team's fault! If they made CEP as an .cmp patch (or rather, a set of patches), adding stadiums would work perfectly. But they made CEP using an outdated, old, corny and buggy autoinstalling .exe technology, so altering it destroys the game....

oh ok know i get what your saying but its funny because i have IFA 07 and i have CEP installed and its an exe. file and i can alter the game and it all works fine. So how do you uninstall CEP?

Hello Rinaldo, CM08 crashes when I replace the bg9999.fsh file with my own file using FileMaster08. The files are the same file size and physical dimensions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I install fifa 08 in my computer using my xbox360 disc?
I inserted my disc into the computer, and I got to a folder that has 2 subflders:
Audio TS
Video TS

But not sure what to do from there....help please.

I already downloaded CM08, Manager Master, and File Master....not sure if I will need all of them. I really just want to create a couple of clubs and uniforms, and players.

Hi there Rinaldo, I hope you still read this thread...I need help. I'm another player with the tournament module problem: when I play a tournament, the CPU seems to forget any info about all teams except mine, and all my opponents will play a flat 4-4-2. I was stuck in the problem until I found this forum and this thread, where other players had (FINALLY) my same problem. I tried to follow the advices given to them, but I must admit I'm quite a noob in editing databases...I opened the databases you indicated, and found the ID number lists of the specific formations...you told that the problem could be that 2 or more teams share the same specific formation...here comes my request:

1) How can I detect 2 equal numbers? Is it possible that the only way to do that is checking every single number of the list and detect it by myself remembering every number I read???

2) Even if I find the anomaly, how can I proceed? Should I simply change the number, or I have to edit the formation of that team right in the game assigning an unique one? Or what else?

I apologize for my lack of skill in such things, but it's the very first time I try solving this kind of problems all by myself

EDIT: I found a counter on the db editor, so i proceeded as follows: I selected all the records in the columns of the formations, and read the last value, which was 576; then I used the counter, and it told me that the column hosts 576 entries...so I think there shouldn't be any duplicate entry. If so, the problem isn't what you supposed it was...so what can I do now?

RE-EDIT: Let's add some more info to the jam...the problem seems to present only when I play a tournament: if I start a friendly match, everything comes back in place...could this mean that the database is fine and the problem is somewhere in the process of tournament creation?

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I've just inherited a copy of fifa 08 (thanks to my little brother getting the new one in about 48 hours).

I've seen HEAPS of references to the Creation Master series, and spent a couple of hours now trying to find a working version of anything to do with FIFA 08.

Does anyone still play this game, use these utilities, or have a working link?
