look back in this thread, i posted links of the penalty miss, vieira red, and the end of game stuff

on another note... phil neville is the guy thats soooo irritating but u cant proove how f^%ked up he really is.... he is not a fair player at all, hes a b@$t@rd.... what he did to jeffers (to irritate him to retaliate... and besides jeffers is the worst striker ever to play for arsenal), look at that pic of him stamping at bergkamp (which is why bergkamp is injured for tomorrow/todays game)

Nice dive (seriously) - up there with the Ruud's, Owen's & Pires' of this world.

Look at nasty man-animal Keown looking at the ball. It's like he's trying to play defence or something.....I haven't been paying attention to the Brit media lately, has old Martin K been given the electric chair yet? Or are they just going to gas the entire Arsenal team?

Flierman: I agree with that, watching at the video it's smooth and natural, but given this guys shenanigans in the past and Vieria's abnormal reaction, I prefer to believe Vieria that it was pre-determined.
roflmao. Sorry anti but that is possibly the funniest quote I've read in some time on these boards. Given RVN's shenanigans in the past?! :o What shenanigans, I assume you mean his diving because I think the 'provocative' tag that he's being given is well wide of the mark. Unless you count being a strong goal-scorer as provocative? I mean come-on, he's harldy as provocative as Shearer, or Bergkamp or even David Beckham! lol :D

Vieira's 'abnormal' reaction is what takes the biscuit though. LOL. It's so abnormal that he has had 9 red cards in 6 years, so to me it seems consistent with his attitude and behaviour in the past. (especially compared to 0 red cards Van Nistelrooy. )

Unless I've completely read your statement wrong, in which case I retract what I've just said. :)

Regarding Forlan's 'dive', I'm not so sure it was. Given the scenes straight after the penalty decision and the end of the game I've seen little analysis into the accuracy of the penalty call but from what I have read, and my opinion from what I saw at the time, it seems the decision was right. Keown basically committed a daft, clumsy foul. Forlan didn't seem that dangerous where he was (he's doesn't seem that dangerous from most positions in fairness :D ) and Keown clumsily gave him a tug/shove in the back which brought him down when there was no need to. I thought that during the game, and I still believe that.

In the pic posted here it appears that Forlan is making the most of it, but there's no way of telling where the ball is, or at what stage of the foul the picture was taken. I think it was just after Keown had fouled Diego, most of you obviously believe that it was 'the' foul.

I remember Ruud getting Ljungberg and was surprised that the FA didn't pick up on it at the time. Although if the FA want to bring it up now then they are basically going to have to clear a backlog of similar offences like elbows, punches, kicks and anything like that for at least since the EPL began for all players that are still playing from then. It's not going to happen.

The other thing the FA will need to do is stop relying on the ref's report to take action on violent acts like that. With modern technology they can surely use it to discipline players that have behaved in that manner. Arsenal's behaviour on Sunday is as good a time as any to start it as it appears to have given the FA the kick up the arse they needed to sort matters like this out, fast.

What does that dig do to the reputation of RVN? Not much really. He's whacked Keown in the FA Cup (although I would class that as an over-zealous strikers tackle which Keown has taken personally) and got Ljungberg then, and I cannot think of another example of him playing dirty in that sense other than those two examples (unlike Vieira, Bergkamp, Keown etc.).

When we lost discipline and focus we lost to Arsenal. Had Arsenal started the game on Sunday as they finished it then they would probably have gone down the same road and lost. United have sorted out problems they have had in the past like this and now it's time for Arsene (if he is a good manager and not just a tactician) to do the same at Arsenal. He has let it slip for 7yrs, he appears to be doing the same again and Arsenal's record for foul play will continue.

Is Arsenal's behaviour in the three games that have been played between the two teams since the FA Cup tie a sign that Ferguson is getting under Wengers skin as he did Keegans, and that Wenger is now losing his cool? Is it a sign that Manchester United have got into Arsenal's psyche? I don't think Wenger be seen as Mr Intelligent, Calm and Collected anymore by the British public and press.

it's over.. get on wit life..

still, i think vieira's unlucky coz he's already been booked.. in fair play, i wouldnt ive either vieira or nistelrooy a card, and tell them to get on with the game and calm down.. the fa would be after my head after dat though

LMAO at Digitarius saying he'd take Neville to the cleaners.

Are you saying that I'll get beaten up by Phil Neville?

Can't we all just get along and hate Francis Jeffers?

I don't think there're many people who don't hate Francis Jeffers.

what he did to jeffers (to irritate him to retaliate... and besides jeffers is the worst striker ever to play for arsenal)

Chris Kiwomya was worse, IMO, but what Phil Neville did to Jeffers? You mean how his boot got the ball and then Jeffers kicked out at him (without getting the ball, of course) - all the while with the referee being about 2 yards away?

Isn't it funny how Wenger and Houllier can both speak better English than Sir Alex? :crazyboy:

This time last year but, Wenger was comparing Arsenal to the greats of Real Madrid, Milan etc. They were the best side in Europe also, yet they didn't win anything but the FA Cup. Its just fallen apart at Highbury.

fergie's english is horrible.... what can i say.. he is scottish... hahahaha... it is always a pain when people interviewing him... and i have to guess most of the thing he say... :p

I consider myself to be pretty good at English, I can speak and write it relatively fluently, however I have never understood a single sentence Ferguson's said.
