well, to be frank... the match is so boring that i felt asleep on my sofa... and missed the red card incident.. but the noise from the crowd woke me up and saw RVN got his yellow card.. but after i watch the replay RVN can really "JUMP" or should i say "LEAP", now i understand why ewan show us the horse face RVN... anyway, i'm commenting on the penalty decision as a neutral, it was harsh really, but RVN didn't scored and i think justice being done... but the reaction from the arsenal players after the final whistle on RVN weren't necessary... i know they are angry on him for getting vieira sent off... but it is just unacceptable...

He didnt touch him and everyone can see that,why did he jump back like he'd been hit, the technical term was intent, but you can see that there was no way he was gonna reach him.

I'm still puzzled by that incident, I know the intent was there from Vieira to kick v. Nistelrooy but the point is he does not caught him, does that merit a red card? But the way the Arsenal players reacted after the game was disgraceful, especially Martin Keown & Ray Parlour.

Well my views on the 'key' points in the game:-

Viera sending off:- deffinately a yellow card, he already had one therefore he gets a red card. How any arsenal fan can say that v.Nistelrooy helped get him sent of is just plain stupid; Ruud just quickly jolted away from vieras foot then looked at the referee as if to say that was a foul. How is that not jusifyable, shouldnt you be allowed to jump away from someone trying to kick you then look at the man in charge?(note: retorical question )

The Penalty:- Deffinately a penalty, diego was pulled down when he could have got a clear header on goal. Ruud tried to hard with the kick after missing his last 2 and smashed it against the bar.

The after-game trouble on the pitch:- That was absolutely terrible, if I was an arsenal fan I would be ashamed of the team for such discraseful behaviour. I believe all the players pushing ruud around should serve bans off atleast 3 games. [/rant]

On another note, all those who still think the biggest rivalry is Lpool and ManU need to rethink, because these players clearly are not mates, and I don't think their fans are either.

From what I see it was Martin Keown and Ray Parlour. The others were verbally abusing him. I can accept verbally abusing your opponent but not when you lay a hand on them.

viera deserved the red.
ruud deserved pen miss
draw is fair result.
not the end of the world.
the arsenal players bullying at end of match to ruud should face lengthy bans(especially keown)
not fair play.made the match worse.

I can accept verbally abusing your opponent but not when you lay a hand on them. Keown and Parlour should get a ban. They were behaving like animals.

Keown is so ugly in that picture. I still can't beleive he didn't even get a booking in the game. I know that after the final whistle is gone, the ref can't sent you off, on the FA can ban you, but during that Vieira incident he certainly deserved a card.
