It's quite sad that this forum had to resort to another thread to be created for this ater the previous had ''too mnay swearing''. Comon guys it was just a match. I wacthed and yes Van Nistelrooy did wrong by almost jumping on Vieira and so he got his 'reward' with a yellow card. Vieira got his 'reward' after trying to strike back and ultimately his second yellow crad. It's all in the rules of football. What happened after was wrong by Arsenal.

i think you need 2 study the rules it doesnt matter if RVN jumped away the rule says if a player makes a kicking or a swing with his hands towards another player they are going 2 get a red card

It's almost impossible for a United fan to stay calm, after such a frustration from the penalty and what you have seen after the game.

verbal abuse Is acceptable, but when you have 4 or 5 players crowding around you grabbing your shirt and shoving after missing a penalty Its not a nice thing, I sure as hell wouldn't of kept my cool, but I'm thankful Ruud didnt lash out. :-/

Sorry, forgot about that 61st minute. I am just to frustrated about the whole ending. It would have been better if the game would have ended on the same terms as it started.

And also the German GK Lehmann pushed the official when there was a fight between ruud and Viera. I think that he deserves a ban for that one! I dont know if anybody noticed that one?

but yes, it was a red.... why r u still complaining all the people who understand the game KNOW it was a red

you get a yellow for intent(which was what he got), red for violent conduct, you're the one who needs to study.

I applaud Keown, he has virtually ensured that RVN's heart will leap out his chest when next he has a crucial penalty, especially against Arsenal.

And just imagine Arsenal comes to OT and pushes around their top player, that's embarassing. We must have gained some psychological advantage from that, not to mention proving that if we sacrifice flair for results we have the patience to so do.

well, yes he was not gonna reach him, but the intent was there... i think the ref has no choice but to give him the 2nd yellow card.. it is harsh but the ref just stick by the rules... RVN has a nice horse ride...:evil:

This is the first time I've ever felt sorry for referee. :confused:

Next time there is a riot(maybe a tad over exagerrating myself) here, I'll do my best to restrain my hands(not in the way your thinking though :mrpimp: :hump: ), from getting involved.

I know he did, but United fans think that Ronaldo it a lot more, than Keane. And i think that Ronaldo was the main thread to Arsenal. He did the most crosses i think and had lots of shots aswell. He played his game better than Keane IMO.
