The English won't accept that their league has become a one-team show.

I bet Mourinho will come out with a statement like: We'll be champions before Christmas. or something
There was only a 8 point difference between Man Utd and Chelsea last year, I'd say the premiership is a much more competitive league than la liga, Man Utd took 2nd place by just 1 point over Liverpool, and our 4th team could have well won the champions league by beating La Liga's top team had it not been for a early sending off...

You're not looking at both sides of the coin.

Chelsea had like what, 15+ points throughout the season. No one challenged them. Then they relaxed a bit, but still won the league comfortably. You should look at the whole season, not the last matchday.

Your second and third team didn't do anything in Europe. Just an observation

I admit Barca were lucky in the CL, but so were Arsenal. I think people overrate their road to Paris. Madrid weren't really a challenge back then, and Juve couldn't do anything in the Champions League under Capello, as we saw them go out against Liverpool. If you saw what had happened, you'd know Lehmann deserved that red card and we fairly outnumbered Arsenal. You'll probably say that Arsenal dominated with ten men, but hey, they lost. They were good, they had their chances, we suffered as a consequence of our choking, but in the end the best team in the tournament won. Arsenal provided a very tough test, but they didn't deserve the trophy as much as we did.

Hey man I'm not an Arsenal fan or anything, and yes Lehmann did deserve the red card. But Barcelona did still struggle. In terms of advancing in the Champions league England did almost as well as Spain tho. Liverpool got as far as Real Madrid, Arsenal got to the final with Barcelona, and Betis went out in the group stages like Man Utd, Chelsea also got to the last eight. Arsenal knocked out 2 spanish teams in the process aswell, had Everton beat Villareal we would of had 5 teams in europe which is quite amazing. I don't think anybody can question England has the strongest league.

And wait a second, Chelsea never relaxed, do you realistically believe Mourinho would let his players relax :nape:

I never said you were an Arsenal fan.

And we're distancing from the point here. I think the original argument was how easy Chelsea would win the league. I still stand by that. We can continue this discussion at the end of the season, because I can understand why I can't convince you that Chelsea will win it again. It's my opinion and we'll see what happens.

When you have a fifteen point advantage throughout the season, and end up with "just" eight, then you probably dropped the ball somewhere near the end. Fact is, no one managed to come close to Chelsea during the season, but when it became more or less certain they would retain it, United suddenly appear on -8. So yes, I strongly believe they relaxed.

I hope you can provide a challenge, but I doubt it.

We have our pick of Saha, Soljskaer, Smith and Rossi who can peform there. If not we could even play Ronaldo upfront, the thing is everybody at Man Utd chips in with the goals, Henry is doin it all at Arsenal. Rooney is massive for Man utd, but we can rely on more.

Saha is a good player, but those other 3, the norwegian guy is injury prone and past his best days, Smith is a good player but he will come back lacking fitness and confidence, and Rossi still has to prove he's the big deal you guys make out of him.

Man Utd has good starters but i wouldnt rely on the bench players. Arsenal has good starters and they have the likes of Van Persie and Hleb on the bench.

I guess, but at the end of the day if saha got injured and fergie didn't want to trust his other options, he could just play 4-5-1, especially if Mascherano joins us. Arsenal aren't that bad upfront, but in terms of depth at the back they're terrible. Lets just say Toure got injured, whos going to play at the back? Cygan and Djourou, o yeah, theyre coming second next year, Rooney and Shevchenko aren't gonna have a chance against that defence. I think Arsenal are in a much worse position than Man Utd, especially if Cole leaves, Clichy isn't good enough IMO to play in the first team, and hes fragile, and arguably injury prone.

I was talking about the forward line though.
I was talkin about the team as a whole, you mentioned Hleb and hes a midfielder so I thought you meant the whole team.

He's an attacking midfielder. Which can also be considered a kind of "forward" position. But yeah, next time i'll make it more specific.

I can't see anyone stopping Che. Infact, most seem to believe that this will be a closer season, in terms of points, than others but I can see Chelsea pulling further away from the chasing pack. The real interesting battle will be for second place...Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal and Tottenham are going to battle it out and none of those teams will lose their chance of securing that position until the last month of the season. All 4 of those teams will have trouble delivering the knockout punch and will, for the most part, lack that cutting edge that Chelsea will have. The Blues are going to be ruthless this time around, just to hammer home the point that the gap between them and all other challengers is not closing, but rather it may infact be widening! Not one of Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool or Tottenham will score more than 70 goals!

1. Chelsea
2. Liverpool
3. Man. United
4. Tottenham
5. Arsenal

DAMMMMIT, why couldn't we win that game on the last day of the season, a few seasons ago?:lui: DAMN you CHELSEA.......we were so close to getting 4th spot and you snatched it from us, along with billions of other stuff as well.:f***:

That's why Hoyte will play left back.

One good kick to Smith and the boy may never walk again. Consider that when you're talking about depth.
