The Gunners have alot of quality in their forward line. I feel that they just need a good midfielder .. someone to fill Viera's departure or to help with another style of play maybe. Not sure if the idea of Cristiano Zanetti coming to Arsenal is a smart one but I'm sure Wegner can find someone. And in my eyes, Arsenal not getting Baptista isn't a loss at all, they'll get someone else which will help boost their midfield/attack.

LONDON, Jul 31 (SW) - Arsenal is looking to bolster their goalkeeping stocks ahead of the up-coming season with the signing of Uruguayan Sebastian Viera.

Speculation in the British press has suggested that The Gunners have agreed a £4 million fee with Nacional de Montevideo for the player’s transfer.

No comment has yet been released by manager Arsene Wenger on the issue, but it is known that the Frenchman would love to provide greater competition for current number one Jens Lehmann for a first team birth.

Well, well... there you go... another Viera! haha

Final score.

First half we were TERRIBLE, few players played well amazingly Cygan and also Hleb. Then off came Bentley and Reyes and on came Ljungberg and Bergkamp. The game changed. Scored twice in 10 minutes and then Porto didn't threaten the goal much at all. Ajax or Boca have to win and score 7 to go top.

hleb IS quite nifty... bentley is also quite solid, and eboue is like toure 2/3 years ago: whatever he does is amazing or really bad (his timing now is bad)

cant hleb play in the middle though?
