Well it's not that six points is an insurmountable gap by any means, I just feel that it will be very tough for us to win the league largely because we have to overtake both Chelsea and Utd. Finishing above one of them would be a minor achievement in itself, but overtaking both of them is a really big ask. The fixture list is kind though, the toughest remaining matches I can think of off the top of my head are: Tottenham Away, Stoke Away, Birmingham Away, and Man City Home.

It's all too close at the top to say that Arsenal are out of it. As mentioned, 6 points is not insurmountable at all. Chelsea and United are well aware of Arsenals position, you can be sure of that so, Arsenal are still in with a shout IMO.

I think that it is expecting a lot for Arsenal to win the league now, but you gotta be optomistic right? Results have been erratic for everyone so far this season, so I wouldn't be expecting Chelsea or United to go the rest of the season unbeaten, or at least dropping some points. Players can also get injured as the season rolls on.

By that logic the same can be said for the Arse of course, but there's still a long way to go yet so who knows how the season will finish.

It's tiring now to watch arsenal, for god knows hoe many years Arsenal has been lacking a hard tackling defensive mid, and it has been obvious for the manu, chelsky and the cl matches.

can you guys start buying men instead of boys and actually buy what you need?, like real DM and a real striker?

You're welcome Porto for your two goals, absolute gifts.
Anyway, none of our goalkeepers are good enough to start at Arsenal. Almunia is consistently mediocre, but at least he wouldn't make complete howlers like that. Fabianski and Mannone simply aren't ready yet, we need a goalkeeper who can keep us in games, not constantly cost us. The first goal was poor goalkeeping, but for Fabianski to give back the ball and turn his back on the game for the second one is just completely thoughtless.

I'm also frustrated about our lack of a response to conceding the second. There wasn't nearly enough ambition, and holy **** why didn't Diaby shoot at the end?! With that said 2-1 isn't awful away from home and I still fully expect us to turn it around in a few weeks.

We've won. But Aaron is badly injured.

Before anyone says it, no, Shawcross doesn't deserve an undo ban. He was crying as he was going off, he's badly cut up about it.

That asshole in the stands on the other hand needs to be located and singled out for a bashing immediately.

Edit: Please nobody post pictures this time.

Im so fcking sad to hear about this, its very painful, i broke my leg from the same place but other foot and doctors had to put a titan plate to my leg :/

He will bounce back he's young, worst case he's out for a year. I broke my humerus a few years ago, completely snapped in two, spiral fracture, was a real beauty. Was in cast for 3-4 friggin months and band from any contact sports for a year.

He's a lot younger then me and will probably have it screwed to improve recovery time. Professional athlete at the peak of fitness and health, non smoker, should heal in a wiz.

Worst thing in my experience is confidence. I still don't lift things correctly 2-3 years on. I used to be big into boxing too, haven't hit a bag since. That will be the killer blow how confident he is to get back training.

Diaby came back well, but he's a big boy. Eduardo looks timid these days, and understandably so, and he's similar to Ramsey in size. I hope the same doesn't happen to Aaron. First concern is getting the boy healthy again though, football can wait.

That was disgusting, my heart goes out to Ramsay. Felt for Shawcross too, don't think there was any malice in the challenge and he was clearly distraught about it :(

Poor kid. Once again Arsenal get's cursed with another nasty injury. :(

Just to see that leg hang loose made me feel so sad for the lad. F*ck all those fans that said Ramsey got what he deserved because he's just a boy you piece of sh!t scum.

I was stunned as well. I hate arsenal to the core but such an incident is just saddening. Hopefully ramsey recovers fast. The boy has got a bright future ahead of him.

No blame attached to shawcross though. It was a committed challenge you could see he was in tears.

I'm getting tired of seeing it. People can say it's a coincidence all they want -- and I'm not saying Ryan meant to break Aaron's leg, he didn't -- but the bigger teams that can play football with us never do this crap. You see altercations between Arsenal and United, Arsenal and Liverpool, hell Arsenal and Spurs, but you never see that "they don't like it up 'em!" crap.

It's always -- without fail -- one of those crappy ass "hard lad" teams. It's ******* bull****.

Shawcross aside -- who will be a fantastic talent -- the players involved have never been anything more than also-rans too.

We can all agree that there was certainly no malice involved in the tackle, the question is, is it a coincidence that Arsenal have had very bad luck in the last few years with horrific leg breaks? Well, I don't think so. It's clear that lesser teams try to physically outmatch us in order to compensate for a lack of footballing abillity, that's ok for the most part, but these injuries certainly aren't, which is why I think Shawcross should be banned for more than three games.
