The fact that the above statement could describe Ajax is what I was talking about......since it may now be similar to the case with Arsenal!!!

Load of Crap that supposed Wenger quote, say it was true why would he admit that. Clubs would know that we need to sell and wouldn't offer good money

I desperately hope you're right that the article had no truth to it, and yea if it were true i dunno why he'd say it. Maybe he just didn't want fans like us to be pissed when we only sign Nasri, Bischov, and Ramsey?
However, judging on transfers for the last few years there does look to be truth to it and this summer looks like more of the same. It's looking more and more likely that BOTH Ade and Hleb will leave with a low salary playing a big part in their departure. And also if we didn't need money why would we have gone to Milan just recently and told them that we're willing to sell Ade. Like him or not, he's got better stats than Henry did at 24, so I really don't think Wenger would sell him for any other reason than money.
Like I said I hope your right, but the evidence seems to be showing that we are indeed a selling club.

Samir Nasri will play for Arsenal next season, it's now official! We'll miss him, he played for Marseille since he was 6.. Good luck for this new experience, and thank you! :)

Cesc Fabregas + Nasri = :O

Wegner is Crazy he only seems to buy teenagers, this transfer window he only has made one good buy NASRI, and he has lost 2 very good players, Flamini and now Hleb, Adebayor is probably going out too, so he need to buy big names, at least one big player, the club has the money so i don´t understand why wegner don´t use it, if he doesn´t start thinking in a major transfer the same of last season is gonna happen to Arsenal, a good start but a bad end.

In fact, this is increase Liverpool chances to run for the Premier so im kind of happy(Y)

Has the Hleb deal been confirmed? If so, what's the price we're getting? Also, in regards to Adebayor....it's highly unlikely that AC would fork over the 30mill that's been reported. I was really thrilled by the progress he made in his development this season, and I think that we should cash in on that and pull the trigger on any offer that's 20mill or over.

DELICIOUS! Is this kid a pure attacking midfielder or does he also have the capacity to play the #10 role and create for others around em?

He's gonna need to bulk up for this league if he's just gonna be a very aggressive and direct attacker, me thinks.

I still haven't forgiven Arsene for not being more eager and forceful in acquiring Ribery, so he better ******* dole out some serious coin for legitimately proven talent(s) this year, man.

We're already off to an ominous start by giving Aluminum the #1 jersey.....you can't be ******* serious, man? This sh!thead is gonna be carrying us this upcoming season? FUCCK off!

^^ edit for what? I'm not making any additions to a previous post.

Man, I puff up with a great amount of pride just looking back on the immense development that Clichy has made since he first came to our club. This kid was raw as hell and now he's become one of our best players, at least this past season anyway. He and Sagna are becoming one of the best defensive back duos, me thinks. The way Sagna just seamlessly adjusted and fit into our team is remarkable....what a fuccking bargain he was, eh?

btw, Obagol is only 23? WTF? Seems as though he's been playing pro ball for a decade now. Anyway, what do you guys think of him as Ade's replacement? He's made some progress in his finishing and ball control since leaving Inter. Despite being a midget, this dude is a ferocious beast in the air, so much so that he was used as a target man at Inter from time to time. He's also improved in his awareness level and therefore the ability to link up and play off of others.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind 'em for about 12-15million euros.

Boy, would I love to know what his vert is.....I bet that he could dunk on an NBA regulation sized net, man.

I'd still like Ade to stay. Unless Wenger goes and buys a proven replacement for him (which history tells us he won't) the replacement most likely won't get more than 20 goals in his first year.

Also Arshavin's agent says he's "desperate" to go to Arsenal. I still think our first priority (assuming Ade stays) should be a CB, but if Zenit drop their price to less than 15mllion pounds, I hope we can get him. If he does come I think he should play in the Hleb position. He's that kind of player that can thread a pass through a ten man defense which is why I think he'd be really effective for us.

If Ade stays and we get a CB I think we have a decent chance of winning something next year. If Ade stays and we get a CB and Arshavin I think we have a very good chance of winning something next year.

In my mind, Nasri is a real play-maker, he can play the #10 as Zidane did in past. He's not very fast, but he has an excellent vision of game, he has huge technical abilities, and he can strike from +25meters! He can also play on the right side of attack, but he's better just behind the strikers.

In Marseille, he played more than Pirlo in Milan AC, as a Central Midifielder just behind Ribéry last seasons for example. He's got large experience for a 21 years-old player, more than 100 games in L1, he started at 17, he played 8 times for France NT and he won U-17 Euro 2004 with Benzema, Ben Arfa and Menez against Spain... and Cesc Fabregas! :)

Now I hope Nasri will succeed in his new team, in another championship. We need him in France NT!

appreciate the fantastic appraisal of his quality/potential, bro.

Anyone know if Arsene has a no alcohol policy enforced during the season? Or is it just politely recommended that the players abstain from it?

So how is everyone feeling about the upcoming season. Do we have a chance to win the league, I feel better about our Champion League chances than anything else
