You're not missing out on much to be fair, I only drink it because I prefer it too Larger. It's like the black sheep of the family here, most people won't touch it because you can buy variants for £2 in 2 litre bottles. You generally find 15 year olds doing it down the park

No way, a good cider is great. A crap cider taste like apple juice and white wine mixed.

St Heliers pear cider is awesome.

Oh and anything Rekordelig. Boom!!

Hiccups aren't what you drink, but how your drink it.

As for magners and bulmers. They're over rated, and marketing successes. St Heliers, and Rekorderlig are ridiculously better.

+1 for Rekorderlig. Some great Swedish cider.

I don't like beer, so I mostly drink cider and long drinks. Basic pear cider is always good, but there are some good, more obscure ones. Granted, they're a bit lemonade-ish.

I do that aged 24 (H) A policeman once "moved me on" for vagrancy after I sat on a park bench with one of those bottles by myself shouting abuse at people. Another time I got in a physical fight with a tramp who tried to steal me bottle!

In Edinburgh you could name ANY supermarket or corner shop in the entire city and I could tell you the price, bottle size and percentage of its cheapest cider (H)

I like the ones made from onion skins.

Yesterday I had 3 entire beers after a small soccer scrimmage, and they gave me a pretty legit buzz. I'm a total lightweight.

I'd be scared to touch a tramp, in fear of catching something

I've had fights with two - the other was in New York and he bit me!

It's the first time I've ever had hiccups while drinking. I put two and two together really

It could have been what you drank, but unlikely. Most likely it was something different, so you drank it differently?

Not that I can remember, then again I don't remember much of the day as a whole. I was mixing things up quite a bit so I dunno whether one beer has reacted with another or whatever, I was the only one drinking Stella Cidre though. I think I'm just clutching at straws.

Actually it might have just dawned on me, I had some chiba chiba middle of the session, again, might just be clutching at straws though.

I'm not saying it was consciously drinking differently. Just saying if it's something you haven't previously drank, then you might drink faster/slower, bigger/smaller mouthfuls whatever. It's all about breathing and swallowing patterns.

Changing drinks loads could easily interupt those too. Or drinking loads.

Michael Jordan has never made me hiccup though. That said, I don't drink and smoke usually. If I smoke first, I can't drink. If I smoke second, it knocks me out.

I got a few single malt scotch's duty free when I came back from Thailand. I really want to try this weekend as I've not had a chance yet.

Also does anyone here drink red wine? Sir_Didier_Drogba, you need to start. I need someone to talk wine with. I have about 60 bottles of red at my place.

I love red wine and would greatly like to increase my knowledge. I mostly stick in the moderate price range ($12-$20 per bottle up here in Canada), though I occasionally splurge on a vintage or an Amarone or Brunello in the $40-$50 range. I also tend to buy this one relatively inexpensive but decent Valpolicella in the 1.5l bottle size (it's only $22 vs. $14 for the 750ml) and I use that as a table wine.
