up to 3rd today with a 1-0 win against Torino (Y)

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Filippo Inzaghi is fit for the second leg of Milan's UEFA Champions League semi-final against Manchester United.

Inzaghi missed the 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford on Tuesday with a thigh injury but is now fully recovered.

And Ancelotti has given an indication that Inzaghi could replace Alberto Gilardino in attack at the San Siro next Wednesday.

"Inzaghi is well and he has recuperated from his physical problem, so he's got a good chance of playing on Wednesday," the Milan coach said in the Times.

Inzaghi has a prolific record of 56 career goals in Europe, while Gilardino has netted just one in 17 Champions League matches.

And Ancelotti admits Gilardino has not yet got to grips with the competition.

He explained: "The fact that he's only scored one goal in the Champions League is indicative."

"Champions League matches are different from the league matches.

"There's more pressure and Gilardino doesn't have the experience yet to control that pressure."

everyone pray that Pippo starts ahead of Gila :(

Clarence usually steps up a notch when it comes to deciding games, let's see if he does it again tomorrow. We need Kaká and him on fire. And we need Gilardino on the bench too...

Congratulations: No complaints (apart from United's abysmal performance) Milan played very well and deserved the win. Good luck against the scouse. Be nice to see you avenge 05 (plus I wouldn't shed a tear if Liverpool didn't win)

Real can take Kaka and not get anything because this is the man that was the hero of the semifinal:

Congrats to Milan, good luck in the final. You were much fresher than us and that's the price we pay in return for our position in EPL.

WTF was up with Gattuso against Man U, he's usually crazy but today he played like he was on amphetamines.
