boots issue is because the game doesn't read the moddingway lua that have the boots assignments. (Idea for fixing is to regenerate , but i fear that can lead to crashes)

sounds to me like moddingway is pushing the limits of the game by constantly adding to it.

everything has a stopping point.

I'm using sliders by Orion, google it. He's on another forum not sure if I can post the link.

lowering sprintspees and acceleration sliders can help you to achieve slow gameplay.
As well in the next update i've better balanced the gameplay flow

If you install 1.7.9 and run the installer that works.
Recreate that condition, so you have the game that run fine.
Backup original 4.db of moddingway (rename as you want)
Then copy my 4.db in \data\db\moddingway\
Run MWSelector, select original database, close, reopen the selector and select 4.0 database.
Don't execute the mwinstaller, simply run the game. That work.

I have done this about 10 times as you have said above and it didnt work.... now FIFA is corrupted and wont even load up... Ill do another fresh install and see how that goes.

What download of 1.7.9 are you saying to use?........Your one......, or should I direct download it fresh from Moddingway?

download all the Moddingway versions and install them, then use his 1.79 version

I downloaded from the first link he had for 1.7.9 and all it has is 2.db & 4.db

That isnt technically the 1.7.9 MW update is it?



I did another fresh install and now I cannot even load FIFA....something must have been corrupted with all the intalls/patches...

Never had this much trouble getting a mod to work on FIFA...

I installed FIFA13 fresh... It had the obvious updates that it automatically adds on the installation

I did not load up the game at this point but went ahead and installed the following:

MW

1.7.1 - All in one ------- then ran the MW Installer.

1.7.3 ------- then ran the MW Installer.

1.7.5 ------- then ran the MW Installer.

1.7.8 ------- then ran the MW Installer.

1.7.9 ------- then ran the MW Installer.


I then did as it said in the README and deleted the 'loc' folder and then renamed the 'loc-licensed' to 'loc'.....

I then copied fifaCCitiu's latest link to 4.db and overwrote the one in the moddingway folder.

I then ran the MWSelector and chose 'Default Database' then closed the MWSelector...

I then re-ran the MWSelector and chose 'Database 4.0'......

At this point it still crashed when trying to load the game!!!


What in the above process am I doing wrong????????


(PS. I ran MWInstaller as Administrator like it said to. Does the MWSelector also need to be run as Administrator?......)

Very weird, I'm not too sure to be honest. Did you install Revolution Mod version 1.2 before all this? Do that before the first moddingway installation. I can only tell you what's worked for me really.

As well in the next update i've better balanced the gameplay flow

hmm, imo lowering acceleration sliders too much isn't very good, because it would then be very easy to sprint past defenders.

my sliders for user/cpu are:
sprint speed - 0
acceleration - 48
pass/shot error - 55
shot speed -45
pass speed - 40
injury freq - 45
GK ability - 100
marking - 100
line height - 25
line width - 45
user power bar - 40

settings: slow speed, 8 mins, legendary difficulty

with these settings i get a fair amount of fouls and cards and stats at the end are quite realistic. note that marking is very tight so that it's very challenging. when you're pressing high the cpu counters, i've conceded quite a few goals with cpu counters. if you didn't manage to counter the cpu, breaking down their defence is quite a task(as it should be), since marking is tight and with high acc sliders, the defenders can follow you everywhere. goalkeepers save quite a lot of shots(since not all shots are goals in real life).

No, I hadnt heard of Revolution Mod until you mentioned it just now!

I must admit im coming back to FIFA13 after a few months of not playing so not completely up-to-date with all the add-on's etc...

Ill install FIFA13 afresh and then start with the Revolution Mod before all the MW stuff......fingers crossed!!!

UPDATE...!!!!


Ok, I did everything again with the Revolution Mod and I have it all working now....!!! Played only a half an 8min game to test it out and have to say LOVE IT...!!!

I know its a big call after such little game time, but this is what FIFA13 should have been... Alot of the other mods either make the defence super human or whatever
where it just seems too unrealistic..... This time around in a 4 min half, I scored 1 goal....received 2 yellow cards and it just played sooooo much better than other
mod ive tried thus far...

Unpack in FIFA 13\Game\data\db\moddingway , answer 'yes' on replacing request of the file.
Open MW Selector, select default databse, apply, close and reopen the selector, then select database 4.0, and the apply.

CHANGELOG:
1.8.0 Reworked goalkeeper. They have 5 playing style, everyone with a weakness and strong point. Some keepers can have poor handling but extraordinary reflexes, some others have a good positioning and handling, but lack of diving ability and so on. Added a new playing style for Central Forward (aka Second Striker): Dribbler. A player with this playing style have an excellent ball control and dribbling, and prefer to shot on goal instead to pass the ball to a player better positioned. He doens't help the team in defensive phases, but give all himself to attack. A good agility and sprintspeed and excellent acceleration will complete the description.
Tuned other position, specially Quantity Midfield that have better sprint speed and acceleration for his work to assist defense and attack.

i only provide a modded db to enhance the gameplay, not else. So to change rev mod in Moddingway mod you have to ask the creator of that patch.
