i dont know, an old classy professional can sometimes do the same job, ive brought an old Batigol in before just to have an 'effect' on the other, more younger players, im pretty sure it helps having such a legend around the place.... try both! Young and old!

Trod hit the nail on the head. You do need a mix

Younger teams tend to make a lot more mistakes. Older teams tend to hold up the ball more, use the wings, and create a lot more chances.

If you want young players, have one upfront, have two on the wings, centre midfield, have one experienced and one young player. General common sense like that goes a long way.

28 is not young but not old! He has 2 more good years, and you will be then able to sell him for a very good price. This is what I do, I sell every player I have when they reach 30, because their price drops after this age, and then I buy young players....
