The symbiote!! It's an alien costume, connects to JJJ Jr.s story of bein' an astronaut, going into space and that symbiote coming alone with him back to earth. That is according to the cartoon i watched as a kid, donno about the comics tho. THIS IS ******* KICK ASS!!!

The only thing they haven't talked about is Topher Grace playing Eddie Brock, who turns into Venom, and I assume this will be him... but I really found that hard to believe with the whole black suit thing because they would have had to change the story greatly. That's why to me, it looks more like a colourised picture than an actual black suit... but hey, that's not what they're saying.
The books said that Spiderman got the black suit like you guys were all saying from those wars. It began to take him over and then Mr. Fantastic shot it off and took it for study. The symbiote then rejoined spiderman briefly but spiderman tried to kill it using noises from a church bell. It worked, and the symbiote ended up staying at the church for a long time.
Eddie Brock, a guy who works for a newspaper, life went down hill and he had a few things against spiderman. Anyway he wanted to kill himself and went to a church to pray or something and then ended up combining with the suit and became Venom. That's how venom was created.
So that means there will be three bad guys in the film, Sandman, Green Goblin 2 and Venom... how cool. I wonder if Gwen Stacy will die.
Despite all that, I dislike the whole film thing. I loved the cartoon and comics but, I just hate the film. The first one bored me and I haven't even seen the second one and I really don't want to... weird.

I never said it wasn't, I said I found it hard to believe that it was the first time I saw it because of the original story, I also said that they would have had to have changed the storyline greatly in order for it to be part of the film. Never did I say that it wasn't in the film.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with instead, it's probably very similar in a way, only, no fantastic 4, no secret wars and no aliens. Probably be some lab experiment that got all over him and mutated his suit.

Spidey 2 is way better than 1. You should give it a look man, and Topher Grace?! Isn't he a bit small and innocent looking to be playing Venom? Whatever.........
