I'm thinking of buying a new graphics card to replace my geforce4 mx460 crap (just for PES3 ); hence my Mainboard does not support AGP8x, I don't want to invest 200$ for radeon 9600xt, maybe later.. there is a better option (at least it seems), Radeon9200 SE 128 mb for 50$ (I'm thinking of ASUS). I want to learn who uses this card, in which resolution and is there any slowdowns in the game because of the card (partial or complete, for example when closing down to the penalty areas) ?. as far as I know (and I've experienced), nvidia based cards and windows xp has refresh rate syndrome which makes the game unplayable. also, with my current graphics card (which is meant to be a 2d card), I can't play battlefield1942 properly, would radeon 9200 correct this or not?. and, what is the overall performance of radeon 9200 in comparison to geforce fx5200. also, It's written in an internet shopping site that radeon9200SE supports directx 9 but either asus and powercolor says it only supports directx 8.1 .. of course consulting asus and powercolor should be more reliable, but which one is correct?.
by the way;
- do NOT advise me to buy radeon 9600 or geforce fx 5600 series, if I had a mainboard with AGP8x and 200$, I wouldn't have asked you, I've already bought radeon9600.
-please answer if you really know and played PES3 with radeon9200. this game is the reason why I'm thinking of buying this card.
-and my system specs:
MSI6566E Mainboard
512 MB DDR RAM 266 Mhz
40 gb seagate
WinXP
leadtek geforce4 mx460
celeron 1.7
thank you to all who'll submit their sincere answers.
