You're talking absolute bollocks. There's a lot more to football than scoring goals. If scoring goals is enough then does a team deserve points if they lose, say, 3-2 because they've done more than just "turn up"?

a point can be the difference between promotion or relegation, so hard work by a team in getting a 0-0 draw against a better team should be rewarded with a point. You are an idiot if you think otherwise

This is straight out of Blatter's wonderfull suggestions book. There are 4 general positions on a team (Forward, Midfield, Defender, Goal Keeper). How many of them have they primarily job as scoring goals? Only Forwards. Scoring is only one fourth of what football is all about. Goals win battles, Defense wins titles. If the team conceedes 5 goals, should they have 5 points taken away from them, for doing a horrible job at defending? If the clubs have problems with getting fans into the stadium, then they should tell their players to attack, not get FIFA to do that for them. Dumb idea, end of discussion.
