Should a 0-0 tie be given 0 points?

If theres a scoreless draw- should both teams no points?
you figure that in a 2 legged game that the amount of goals is what counts- shouldnt it count for points too? Just a question.

i like that idea very much. If the game ends scoreless then no one deserves anything, and there will be more attacking football.

Great Idea(Y)

This is coming from Israel, they think they low attendance is because of 0-0 draws.

I think it's because they're in Israel.

This rule isnt that bad guys and one day in the future might happen lol. You think just showing up is enough to earn a point. Someone tell me why do you deserve a point if you cant score??

You're talking absolute bollocks. There's a lot more to football than scoring goals. If scoring goals is enough then does a team deserve points if they lose, say, 3-2 because they've done more than just "turn up"? :|

Because you were good enough NOT to concede?

this is a bad idea but I can understand where they're coming from.. some leagues really need some changes to improve the game..

well those are some good reasons but its like giving a free point away for nothing.:mexican:

it's not nothing. if israel drew 0-0 againt Italy in Italy in the World Cup or something, does that mean you don't deserve a point for keeping the holders to a draw?

well then why are competitions decided over 2 legs with most gols scored? Just a question btw. Im not advocating it or anything- just a thought

a point can be the difference between promotion or relegation, so hard work by a team in getting a 0-0 draw against a better team should be rewarded with a point. You are an idiot if you think otherwise

This is straight out of Blatter's wonderfull suggestions book. There are 4 general positions on a team (Forward, Midfield, Defender, Goal Keeper). How many of them have they primarily job as scoring goals? Only Forwards. Scoring is only one fourth of what football is all about. Goals win battles, Defense wins titles. If the team conceedes 5 goals, should they have 5 points taken away from them, for doing a horrible job at defending? If the clubs have problems with getting fans into the stadium, then they should tell their players to attack, not get FIFA to do that for them. Dumb idea, end of discussion.

Only a Brazilian could come up with this. No offence.
Why does it all have to be about "gols"?
