Downing is quality ...been getting 8s and 9s on a consistent basis for me. That Leeds player wouldn't be Aaron Lennon would it, Shifty? Oh and I second Yahiaou, especially as your squad doesn't appear to have an out and out DM (!).

Baptista is a DMC in my version and I've been trying to retrain him to AMC for a year now and he just isn't changing which is weird. Also when my team is at full strength, I play Gerrard as the DMC because he is just a phenomenal do everything kind of player who adds a new dimension to the DMC position. Oh, also Ledley King can play there. I'll take a look at the Marseilles kid..... nah, he's played like 3 games for Marseilles in his career to this point and his stats aren't good.

Yeah, Downing is brilliant, of course for me he's just bench fodder, I bought him strictly for the future. He's behind Joaquin, Jankulovski, and van der Meyde on the winger depth chart.

The Leeds player is Justin Bowler, but your guy looks really good too.

EDIT: Just went back to my old 4-4-2 that worked wonders for a few seasons in my old Bayern game and it's a good call definitely. I just hope I can keep everyone happy with one less midfield position in the lineup.

The guys who aren't rotation are of course the studs, Ronaldinho, Adriano, Lampard, and Joaquin.

Baptista is probably already an AMC from the start, even without updates, but when a player is both DMC as AMC, he will be displayed only as an DMC.

Forgot about Gerrard. He's in that class of "I play them 100% of the time when their condition is 95 or over" You can add Rio Ferdinand and John Terry to that as well.

Shifty, how many seasons does your spending-spree game usually last? mine doesn't last long, and I was wondering how you keep yourself playing season after season. (if you go over at least 2 seasons that is)

I like this thread by the way; it made me feel like picking up FM again to play with Chelsea.

Is Micoli preforming well for you? I play for Viola right now and he is roller coasting for some reason. First season he got like 4 goals and 7 assists, then he scores 16 goals and 12 asists in the second season and now he is back to only 3 goals and 3 assists in 14 games (I am in the middle of the season right now). Got no idea whats up with that, his stats are amzing, showen as well as hidden, and he still misses crap load of opportunitis. Regano scores more then he does, and Regano is 32 right now))

I don't play him too much, he was free and his stats are just amazing. He can be brilliant at times, and disappear at other times. I'm just about to wrap this game up for the most part, it was a fun time though.
