well you gotta remember that ingame the kit gets pulled in all directions as it is stretched over the body model .So the lines on the sleeves will be of different thicknesses .same with logos on sleeves,because the left long sleeve stretches widthways,so things on this sleeve are compressed widthways.The right long sleeve stretches longways so logos need to be compressed vertically but lines will be a little thicker than the long left sleeve.Extract a kit from kit raptor and look at the way EA do it,then try to copy it.
As for shorts,most shorts made by the same brand are similar so its a matter of making one shorts pattern and maybe having to adjust it a little for various teams kits.Sometimes i need to make a whole new shorts pattern if i come across a design i aint made before....

Cool, i stretch and shortern my badges and logos, that makes them come out perfect, just some things are harder than other things, one other strange thing is, i have taken out the wales away strip from fifa, because its just a plain white kit, i have put all of the badges and logos on, and it looks brilliant, the only thing is, is that when i put it in using kit raptor, i take a look at it on the model and its all turned black, why is this!



Also, how can i make a mesh affect?

One other thing, why when i try to modify fifa kits and others, say if i try and make it a different colour, why does it not go see through like usual?

One more thing, when i play online against real madrid, my game crashes, all i have done is put a new real madrid kit on through kit raptor, why is this happening!!!

swansea boy.........the reason you get black kits is usually because it is the wrong size ,so i dont think kitraptor imports 1GK kits ( thats the size of the kits that you export from kitraptor).so what you wanna do in PS is,go to "IMAGE "..."size " and change the width (256) to 512.make sure you have ticked the box that says "constrain proportions" first.This will enlarge the kit to 512 X 1024 pixels.Now if you import it with kit raptor it should work.Also make sure it is a 24 bit bitmap.As for changing the colour of an existing kit.You cannot work on the bitmap so first you have to turn the bmp into a PSD file.Go to "window" "show layers" and a window will open up so you can see the order of the layers that you create,just drag it to the right hand side .now click on the top bar of your new file where it says "Untitled".This will highlight the kit.Go to "select"...."all".This will put a mask(dotted line )around the bmp.Then go to "edit" "copy"......then to "file" "new",a box will pop up ,just click ok......then go yo "edit " "paste".This will put the kit onto your new file as Layer one.Now you create a new layerby clicking the middle logo at the bottom of your Layer viewer,Its just to the left of the dustbin,holding your mouse down drag the new layer BELOW the kit layer.Now at the top of the Layer view you will see the word "NORMAL".Click on the kit layer (where it says layer one)so it is highlighted.Now from the drop down list,change normal to MULTIPLY.then your layer 2,which is below layer one needs to be highlighted ,this layer stays on normal.now get the paint bucket and colour layer 2 any colour you want.This will colour the whole kit though,including all the logos and badges.
Mesh:......I dont make meshes man....i have a mesh that was given to me and thats what i use.
Crashing game:.....did you load into kitraptor the correct size bmp as i explained earlier?..Remember it must be a bitmap.if you have any more questions take it to the kitmaking tips and help thread and i will answer you there.This thread is not for this kinda stuff.........if you go to some fifa sites you will find a kitmaking tutorial....this would be very helpful.Also make sure you read the kitmaking tips and help thread.....almost all you need to know is there.

Thanks for that pede, the real kit i put on was a pre-made one that i downloaded, so it must just be that kit, it might be a bit wrong, the thing is though, is that it works on single player, strange eh!


I need to make mesh for kappa kits, such as tottenham and wales, to make them look more realistic, can you send me yours by any chance!

I really need to ask one more question, im making my kit, doing it bit by bit and testing it everytime i put something down, but when ive done it for a while and then try and put colour down it covers the kit! Shall i do what you said in the last post or isit something different, the thing is i need something quick because i dont have much patience you see

swanseaboy......just make sure the kit texture layer is ABOVE the colour layer,The texture layer set to MULTIPLY and the colour layer set to NORMAL.......and you gotta develop some patience then mate because kitmaking requires a lot of it......... :)
