Replacing team selection flags/badges

i got the file

i went re-mod the file to suit my setting in fifa
i notice that the team selection logo is ok.
but the in game log0 got the logo in it but the black color backgroud is there i follow all the step but still got the black color background

Hmmm??? That is really strange. I can get the popup flag/badge to have transparency. I don't have any problem with that. I'm using Microsoft Picture It 2002 to do my graphics. So I don't know what is going on in your case. Try doing it with either a .gif or a .png and see what happens. You could try to use the attached graphic for a test, to see if has something to do with you graphics editor.

Did anyone ever figure out why some logos appear too far to the left or too low in the team selection screen?

Also, I am trying to move teams to a different league. I have tried using a HEX editor to edit the *.o file to import the texture of the team from the original *.o file. But when I do that, the game crashes. However, if I copy and paste a texture from the same *.o file, it works fine. Does anyone know why?

logo problem

I e-mailed some people at soccergamez and had no response. They are the only ones that I have seen a patch that involved success in changing it. Or maybe the russian patch had some too. So no luck yet on this problem.

sometimes logos are blank

I have a strange problem with importing logos that maybe someone can help with. Sometimes, when I import a logo, in the game it looks blank, like it is completely transparent, but sometimes with the same logo importing into a different league, it looks fine.

Here is what I'm doing. I'm trying to put Barcelona in the Eng. Prem. Lge. So, I am opening 53.fsh, exporting the Barcelona logo, then opening 13.fsh, importing the logo. I then change 13.apt and the fifa.db to add Barcelona. But when I play the game, the Barcelona logo is blank. If I do the same thing, but add Barcelona to the Rest of the World, (76.fsh), instead of the EPL, it works fine. Also, I have imported other teams (Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, etc...) to the EPL and they work fine. But Barcelona doesn't work. I'm also having problems importing Ajax, Valencia, and Galatasaray into the EPL.

Does anyone have any ideas regarding this problem?

hi... if you moved a team to another league and you want it to have a logo just hexedit the file *.apt inside the *.big (the file of the menulogo).

to hexedit it search for the id number of the rest of the teams... it's almost at the end... the replace the id of an existing team with the one of the team you moved... then guess what is the file in the fsh and replace it.

Well it worked to change the .apt file #. Great suggestion. But I still have some problem. For a text I put the USA replacing Aston villa in EPL. (using a data editor to change the team to league assignment) Then changed the #2 in the .apt to 1387 for usa. I went to see what it looked like in the game.

Well it worked. I could see the logo for the Aston villa Team in the USA spot. So then I proceded to replace the flag for the Aston villa. It worked, but I couldn't see the correct area of the flag.

So I went ahead and used o-edit to put the correct area to view the flag. We now something really stranged happened. It wasnt' viewing the correct area of the flag. And it streched out the left and bottom part of the flag in which the bitmap didn't have area.

So In other words, this is another way of displaying a menu flag/badge. But I still don't think it solves the problem of positioning. Because I was able to get the position of the area shown correct, but it wasn't displaying the correct area of the flag. So either one or the other has to be solved. Somebody must know where in the world the positioning axis of the flags are in the game.

Hope somebody understand what I am saying

I have been editing the 13.apt file with a hex editor to put teams into the EPL. It works with most teams, but when I try to do that with Barcelona, Ajax, Valencia, and Galatasaray, the logos do not show up in the team selection screens. I have done about 10 other teams and they all work fine. I have also put Barcelona into other leagues by editing the *.apt and it works fine. But for some reason, when I try to edit 13.apt and 13.fsh to put Barcelona into the EPL, the logo comes up blank.

Any ideas?

Yes, it comes up blank no matter what team slot I put it in. I have checked the bitamp logo, there is nothing wrong with it. The tranparency seems to be fine, at least it looks quite similar to all the other logos that work fine. But for some reason, it's always blank.

I have also tried putting Barcelona into the following other leagues and the logo has come up blank as well, Eng 1st div, Eng 2nd div, Sweden. However, when I put Barcelona into the Rest of the World, the logo works fine.

I have the same thing....I have been trying to do the promotions to the Spanish Liga and I have moved Getafe, Levante and Numancia by editing the database and relegated Celta Vigo, Real Murcia and Real Valladolid.

Now I have followed the great instructions here on how to do the logo swith and it worked great for Numancia, whose logo I put in in place of Valladolid. Levante was in place of R. Murcia and I can only see half of the logo. Getafe was in place of Celta and it doesn't appear.
I used win hex and I changed the team numbers but when I change the Celta Flag to Getafe there is a difference because Celta is #450 and Getafe is #1853 so this might be what is causing the problem. Anyone who knows more about hex editing???This was my first time.

I figured out what the problem is. The team ID numbers in the *.apt file all have a '07' in hex after the ID of the team. The number of '00' bytes between the team ID and the '07' seems to vary, I'm not sure why. What I discovered is that there needs to be at least one '00' byte between the team ID and the '07' or the logo doesn't show up. Since the longer team ID would not fit, I changed the '07' to '00' in hex and not the team logo seems to work properly.

What about when the number is shorter......I changed Getafe to Celta and the numbe goes from 1860 to 450.....I will try and see what happens.....

When the number is shorter, replacing the ID should work fine. There should only be issues when the number is longer.
