Ok people,
I've just got confirmation from the US testers and devs over there that the conmmand is been taken out of the game for some odd reason.

I'll be honest with you as I always have...
I've quizzed them and they cant cant explain why its not there either.

Anyway, they dont seem to want to be helpful in terms of a patch or advice otherwise. Personally, they've dissapointed me as well as I'm sure you all are as well.

I'm still looking into the problem here, however, with the UK support team to see if I can find out whats going on here but, ultimately, this may be a dead end since the 'friendly devs' I've been routing for have turned away.

Trust me, I'm not happy.

thanks , i remenbered something when ive played the demo with my old card (geforce4) ihad no flickering problems and i had 1280x1024 resolution
ive bought a new geforce 6800 GT since and all problems appears
my friend got also a brand nex ATI X800PRO same flickering and no 1024 resolution
it appears that this game doesnt support the new ATI ,NVidia cards
as i told you before i have aP4 3.2 processor 2GB ram and the latest drivers
did somebody already asked NVIDIA orATI websites to see what they can do about compatibility with FIFA2005 in their next drivers?
my first fifa game was 98 do not count on me to buy their next products "champion leagues or any others until those people from US try at least to listen to the community
its very disapointing and frustrating

i wont buy anything from EA anymore

As I've already said, the US team is really dissapointed me. I've let them know this and its only reinforced my opinion that our US-EA counterparts have no idea what they're doing.

But then thats my rant... I'll save that for the office.

I'm going to keep looking into this issue for as long as I can, and see if I can spark a flame back in the US too.

well, i ve tried the 61.72 drivers included with my card and it seems to be better (it flickers sometimes but less often)
Vsync :AUTO
antialiasing:X2
anisotroping:X16
resolution:1600X1024 (no 1024 available)

seems the only thing left for us to do is report this matter to the press , health authority and anyone else who will listen.
there should be laws against this negligence, if there arnt any we need to lobby for them.
if there left to get away with it things will only get worse.

Ive got fifa and have same double image problems- downloaded the demo of total club manager and nhl 2005 and it was the same for that. There is definitely a patch for total club manager 2005 - maybe this addresses some of the visual problems? Seems to be a universal problem for me and Ea sports games

I know that these things are beyond your control.

OK, Render_Every no longer works. I won't know if they fix it in the new CL game EA are producing. I won't be buying.

Surely the Head of support has to understand that the 1280 resolution issue really does need a patch. I only have a 5900 but it should handle that res no problem. Ive even tried on my mates x800 and all he gets when he selects 1280 is 1024.

To be honest, EA have to deliver a patch for the resolution.

Will Battle for Middle Earth offer 1280 and only deliver 1024.....I think not

What say your manager? For us, please ask him or her.

FIFA 2005 resolution problem

I've been an EA FIFA fan for years and I feel really disappointed (the least I could say) with the lack of interest of EA wrt the issues reported since the launch of FIFA 2005.

Personally, I've tried FIFA 2005 on several pc setups with gfx cards Nividia Ti4200 and Radeon 9800 pro and found out that on both systems the same issue arise i.e. even though the game settings is set at 1280*1024, the game runs at 1024*768. This is simply unacceptable!

As stated in the previous post, there must be a patch to resolve this issue. Up to now EA has not even acknowledge the fact that there is an issue and that they are working on it.. .so where do we go from there on?

I simply hope that Kareem will take up this issue urgently to end our frustration.... as personally this has forced me to consider PES as a solution !

This is pathetic. Game in my mind is unplayable because of this, gives me a headache after a while. Game runs between 60-100 fps all the time during game but when there is a long kick the graphics are choppy. Tried everything, changing resolution, graphics drives, screen referesh, Vsync on/off, changing things in various ini files, still the same.

Come on EA help us out.

By the way is Kareem real ?? Why call yourslef EAPLONKA if you work for them ??? Asking for screenshots etc, just seems a little odd to me, it's pretty obvious with us all ranting what the problem is. Hope he is real and he can sort things out, but to be honest i have my suspicions

Sorry to say I have dumped this and my world has been opened to Pro Evo Soccer 4. What a great game that is. Don't get me wrong FIFA 2005 is good but for me Pro Evo outdoes it in virtually every area. I think this was the last FIFA I will try, shame EA you have lost another customer due to shoddy programming.

I've just upgraded my PC to AMD Athlon 64bits 3000+, and a MSI mainboard, with my "old" Radeon 9800 pro 128.

I start the game, and the players are moving sloooooooow. I mean matrix style slow.... what the hell happend? I have DX9c and latest catalyst drivers.... weird stuff. game works on old systems but not on newer ones...
