Sergio Ramos IS the BEST RIGHT Back in the world. If you think otherwise, you havent been watching his World Cup performances.

he would be a waste at CB. and remember we get Pepe back to partner Albiol

Sergio's worth is in going forward as an attacking option and support high up the field.

As for his defensive abilities though, I don't think it's fair to say that he is the best in the world.

If you think so, based on one World Cup, there's something wrong with you. And I don't think he's been that good, to be honest. He just seems so, because he's always in the attack, but he hasn't produced anything that special, and he's lazy tracking back to help the defense, which exposes the whole team to fast counter attacks.

Hmm while I agree that Ramos had a bad dip in form for quite a while I thought he was excellent at the World Cup. If he can continue that form with us I would be very happy.

I'm not saying he wasn't good, I just think, people tend to overrate his performance, as his runs down the flank were very good, and he had the ball in his feet a lot of the time, but at the same time, his defending could have been better, and you can't say a player is the best in his position because of what, 8 games?

I think Ramos' performance at the World Cup was nothing better than mediocre. People think otherwise because he had the ball a lot, but the opposing teams clearly gave him all kinds of space. Why? Because they'd rather Ramos have the ball than Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, etc. And it worked, because Ramos created very few dangerous chances.

Banned - Playing with Fire
While he runs very often in the attack, he didn't create anything for the attackers, didn't create any goal chance for his team, and his crosses barely overcame the first player in front of him. Also his technique is rather weak to call him best RB in the world, anyway weaker than Dani Alves' or Maicon's. But I think he's the 3rd option for "best RB in the world" after the 2 brazilians.

Can't the spanish medias stop to show guti's backheel pass ?!

CR7, Alonso 14, Higuain 9. I guess.

You guys should make a swoop for Torres, I think it would do him a world of good to come back home.

Higuain and Torres paired up front, Di Maria and Ronaldo on the wings, Kaka CAM and Alonso CDM. That would be sick.

Something tells me he wouldn't want to join Madrid.

Must be a really painful couple of days for Madridistas seeing their icons leave the club. Strangely though the pictures of young Guti I've been seeing remind me of Canales.

The Von Trapps
was not surprised to hear that Guti was leaving ... his talent came out once in a while, and he was a crucial member of the side just as intermittently ...

but Raúl leaving now was a little bit of a surprise to me ... if I was told ten years ago that he wouldn't retire at Real, I wouldn't have believed it ... he peaked so early in his career that he was the ubiquitous symbol of Real Madrid for me as I grew into following football in the mid to late 90s ... I still think it will be weird seeing him playing for another team ...

Ah the pain!, it was a day that had to come.

On a side note, while most of the informed football world knows what Raul means to Madridismo, not many know what HAZ meant to us. It was the ultimate love/hate relationship, while to most outside of Madridismo (or even Cules) he was a good squad player, to a lot of Madridista "la eterna Promesa" will be a cult legend of the Madrid lore.

Anyway, this is so surreal its going to take a while to get used to it...what's more its going to be so weird to see Raul and Guti in other shirts....just sucks

Um no...? Why?

I thikn Torres has said so himself, he would never play for Real Madrid, that's liike saying Xavi or Puyol, he is a confesed anti-madridista, so no chance there

I kinda feel bad about Raul leaving Madrid, he was one of my favorite players. I remember I used to write his name and the no. 7 on the back of my shirts when I was a kid. Hope he does well in Shalke.

Hats off for Raul. It'll be weird seeing him wearing another jersey. He seriously represented true Madridismo.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
Raul was a legend and always will be... My hats of to him and wish him good luck on his future. Guti.. he tried but when he played well, he did so very good. Best of luck to him.

Now with gone, I think we will have a brighter future... Hala Madrid!!

Because Alonso is not a holding mid, he's a playmaker. Who is going to defend in that midfield?

Then use Lass as the holding midfielder, and put Alonso on the left, and just let Di Maria come off the bench.
