Que? Robinho? Maybe you can say that Cazorla was more consistent but a better player than Robinho? No, not really. When Robinho was on form last season, like month and a half/2 months before that abdominal injury he was playing fantastic for us. After that he did pretty ****ty and totally boched his rehab which is way it took him forever to get back into shape to play. Anyway his (Cazorla) buyout is 16 million euros....I would rather give Drenthe time than spend that on him, who knows maybe Drenthe can really up his game this season much like Marcelo did last season.

robinho has already 3 years in madrid and didnt show that amazing potential ho every body says, the new pele, (H), cazorla is playing amazing sinze vilarreal load him to recre in 06 and its eurocup champions with national team, but his name isnt Cazorlinho and dont play in EPL so he is underrated. acept it, robinho will leave, madrid has to find a substitute.
he is better and more complet than capel ho only can play in left side. more technique

I really dont think Robihno lived up to his billing either and I think Arnau all of us not only accept it but want robihno gone....is not a matter of if but when....and also I will accept that Spanish players are undervalued, look at what the EPL has done for a lot of them...I like Cazorla, but like I said I dont think of him as explosive as Capel; but if he came for only 16M that would be nice enough for me, it would be a great adition to improve the team, and also A huntelaar or Villa would be a great investment....

I am not saying he is a bad player, but if Robinho can be consistent for a season than he would be considered one of the best players. I know that Robinho is leaving, I was just responding to you about the whole Cazorla over Robinho comment. Anyway, Cazorla would be a nice additon to the team and he could actually play on the right for us (or left if we put Robben on the right). I just hope that we give Drenthe more time this season than last season, he needs to get some minutes to grow otherwise it would be a waste to not loan him out. Anyway it seems like Cazorla will be coming for sure after he was cought on camera speaking with Iker saying to be nice to him and that everything is new to him but that he will text him when he comes tommarow or something like that. Cazorla also says that Villa might be coming.....

Also I agree, Cazorla>>>>Capel. Sorry, Paul but it's true. The only thing Capel would give us is another whiny player on the pitch, the amount of complaining he does is amazing.

You'd be "whiny" too if opposing teams fouled you 15+ times per match. They don't know how else to stop him. However, he is a rather one-dimensional winger.

And I think you said it yourself... if Robinho were more consistent, he'd be great. But he's not consistent and he's not great. He's joined the wide pool of players who show occasional streaks of brilliance but can't contribute for a whole season (like Saviola, Reyes, Quaresma, Jouaquin, just to name a few). I would love to see Robinho on a smaller club where he could be more of a protagonist.

Also, I'd like to point out:
Cristiano Ronaldo: 80-90 million
Van Der Vaart + Cazorla + Villa: 80-90 million.

I think you're doing the right thing.

15+ fouls? Now how many real fouls does he get per game:DAnyway we already have Guti and Robben to be our bitchy whiny players. Also I agree, Capel is too one dimensional.

For your second part, we would be crazy to give into Valencia's demind and pay the 50 million euros (or whatever it is). All things considered with the timing and the situation Valencia are in I would not go over 35 million euros for him and even than that's a bit too much. Ronaldo if he could consistently get 30+ goals a season would be well worth his price tag and he would make most of that fee back in marketing alone which none of the other 3 players you mentioned will do so the Ronaldo transfer can not really be compared to the other players.

Some more news here, seems like the Cazorla deal is getting complicated. So, Calderon spoke with Villarreal and stated our intention of getting Cazorla for his buyout of 16 million euros but Villarreal said it's too late to take the player off their hands. Generally speaking in Spain when a buying club gets a player via buyout clause they conceal it by making it look like an actual transfer so as not to pay the sales tax that would need to be paided on buyout clauses so that's why the Cazorla deal is on hold right now. Villarreal don't want to do the disguise deal at 16 million euros which means that if we really do the buyout than it would be more than 16 million euros, not sure how much though.

Also here is a good one, so Valencia say that they would consider selling Villa for 50 million euros plus De la Red or Higuain......LMAO!!! What hell are the Valencia board smoking?

yup, Valencia do notlike to sell players to us to save their life...that is what is hardest about this for me, shoot, Barca mght be more willing to sell us a player than Valencia, as a matter of fact I think institutionally, Real Madrid and Barca get along a lot better than Real Madrid and Valencia....I would not give up De La Red or Higuain, no way no how...

Also, I guess I stand corrected on Capel, besides he is no longer an option I dont think...the chips will fall between Cazorla and Maybe Villa, the way i see it Cazorla is 70% here, while Villa is more like 40%....I just dont think it will happen...

I read somewhere that the CR deal didnt happen because of reasons outside of football; something to do with Nike, marketing and others; someone at the Man U forum said it and I laugh at him, but I guess he was right....but anyway, that's old news....

Ronaldo can't score 30+ consistently in La Liga (much tighter defence than in the EPL) and I don't think he'll even do in England. 50 million for arguably the best striker in the world, with your budget, is well worth it. If Ruud can be pichichi with Real, imagine what Villa could do.

why the hell are we trying to get cazorla???????!!!

hes an ok player but he isnt real madrid material (it must be because the deadline is approaching). like Soc said id rather give drenthe more minutes, he has so much potentiall he has speed, skills to match robinhos one hell of a shot on him as well. he just needs some playing time and needs to grow up a bit as well.

.... Van der Vaart?

Maybe you should waste less time pursuing one primadonna all summer and stuffing all your transfers into the last week of august, and think your targets out more carefully...

Bad planning, but you have a good squad, it's not like you're in dire need of anyone. You can still retain the title.

I know but none of our "targets" was able to come, and none of our actual needs were covered...plus there is great grumbling as to how competitive are we in the Champions and that is the goal for this team I believe, we want the Champions and some of the re-inforcements we needed to face that competition did not happen....if you consider that last year against Roma, we had half the team injured and with the players we had we were not able to beat them in Madrid...I stand to worry

Arnau & Sevillista have some good obvious points. Robinho isn't consistant. I always thought he wasn't gonna live up to the super hype surrounding him. At best I think he has the potential to be avery good player but dont think hell be on the same page as Ronaldo (el gordo), Zidane, Cruyff, etc.

I like Cazorla. But he just extended his contract and Villa doesn't wanna come. I guess well face the season with what we have. I feel comfortable except that I think we very much need a young superfast promising striker. We drastically need cover for R&R and need to inject some pace.

Agree Arnau. The track record these 2 have is bad. As much as people hated Florentino, the one thing he could never be accused of is not delivering. That guy could sign Jesus Christ if he had to.
