well what can I say...we lost fair and square....Higuain was woeful, Raul was woeful, Guti was Woeful, and then to give credit to the Depor defense, they were stellar....so that's how the Liga starts out....

Well did you expect anything different? The best we could have hoped for was a draw, that place has ghosts or something man. This now makes it 18 years without a win at the Riazor....on the bright side at least Barca is keeping up their away form:Devil: The only good thing here is that we got this fixture out of the way right now.

Also, another side note but I did not like the starting 11 that Schuster put up. Raul was ineffective and Guti should have played AM not CM/DM next to Diarra. Higuain should have played Raul's spot thus freeing Guti to be the AM and than we could have played an actual CM next to Diarra. But oh well, hopefully Schuster gets the team selection sorted out for next time.

the problem is not starting Raul, I will say again the Capi has looked terrible to me since the pre-season, I hope it changes but I mean he hasnt looked sharp and yeah I guess you are right, this is not the worst that could happen, at least we lose the first game at riazor and not the one for the title

The thing that annoyed me about the game was the wingers and full backs! it wasn't until when drenthe came on i saw a decent cross that looked dangerous. robben was playing on the right hand side 95% of the match and kept cutting inside on his left foot(not his fault) he should have been on the left hand wing not the right. wat was schuter playing at? it wasnt working for the first half so why keep it the same for the second????? another point that needs to be raised is without robinho we need a right sided player(yes robinho plays down the left i no but he can play right) the ONLY option we have is higuain who doesnt even play there! he is a CF! sneijder and van der vaart are both CAM or CM yes they can play anywhere in midfield but they are not wingers and never will be. they create things from central positions its what they do best. last nyt we were terrible, i dnt care about previous results and i will not blame this result on a curse. that was awful!!!

Some news here for the last day of the transfer from Cadena Ser

Chelsea has not improved their offer.
City (yes Manchester City:D) has offered 38M but's apparently that's not enough for management (I would accept it personally).
Big suprise but Ribeiro doesn't care whether Robinho goes to City or Chelsea, he gets his share either way.
Also after getting Villa to agree personal terms with us we have offered 45 million euros to Valencia but they have rejected our bid.

you are being harsh bro it really wasnt that bad, remember also that only a week ago, Robben absolutely destroyed Valencia by attacking their right side, last year when healthy he also did most of his damage out of the right, so it stands to figure Schuster would want to play him out of the right....for me, our problem was playing Higuain as a winger, he should never play as a winger just as Drenthe should never be a LB...I would have started with Rudd, then Higuain, and with Drenthe on either wing along with Robben, then Guti in the middle and Diarrah as the holding mid, that is the best we can hope for with our current availables list

Also, I read that they are even talking about 60M for Villa, but again Valencia are refusing all kinds of negotiation for him...and as far as Robihno, I hear that he doesnt want to go to City, tho, it would be fine with me if we sold him to City....lol that would be hilarious....so he wanted to go to England huh? well he would be in England alright!...lol

Maybe i am, im just pissed at not creating anything decent. i'm not digging at robben, when fit, the bloke could be the best player in la liga EASY. im digging at schuster playing with one winger and putting him on the wrong side. it wasnt working on the right so why not try the left. if at Valencia it worked on the right then great but how hard is it to tell him to swap wings when its not working....

looks like robinho is staying only hours left now. does anyone think we will hear an apology?
or even better
would you accept an apology?

Robinho owes nobody an apology. Madrid tried to get rid of him in the Cristiano Ronaldo negotiations. He was supposed to be the team superstar when they bought him three years ago and he's been treated as anything but.

I hope he goes to City where he'll be much more of a protagonist.

Just curious, but why should Robbinho even feel the need to apolgise? After Real Madrid firstly refused to discuss renewing his contract all through the summer, after he had asked many times for talks. Then he realises that he was going to be offloaded to Man U as a makeweight in the disasterous Ronaldo transfer debacle. Then as soon as Madrid accept the fact that they are not getting Ronaldo, they want to discuss a new deal with the player, and state that Robbinho is staying at Madrid.

Madrid have shown Robinho nothing but disrespect in the way they were willing to dump him in favour of Ronaldo, and now they expect him to put all that behind him as if nothing has happened?

Any person with any self respect would not want to work for a business that treats their employees like that. I certainly know that I wouldn't.

Lets not bring up the whole Ronaldo transfer, as noone knows what we were offering and what we were not offering. Hell, we have kept all theree players on the team (Ronaldo, Robben, and Robinho) if Ronaldo came considering Robben and his injury troubles. Also we did work on his contract but he wanted too much money so that was not going to work. The only reason he is leaving is for money, sure he might feel a little left out but you have to joking me if you think he is leaving for anything other than money. His whole thing about being WPOY with Chelsea means about **** now, LOL!!! Manchester City for 40 million euros I hear. Excellent:mike:

About the whole apology, it's about the press conference Robinho had before the Depor game where he just sulks about everything pretty much. I am guessing that's what they are talking about.

Actually last season we also played the same formation, with 1 winger and a false right winger. Last season Ramos did most of the attacking on the right down the right hand side but against Depor he did not attack much. Apart from his Wesley played the false right winger role last season and did it pretty well but we never really played a winger there (apart from Robben). I think the more important questions is why was Guti played nexted to Diarra? Why not Gago or De la Red next to Diarra. Than why was Raul, RVN, and Higuain playing at the same time? I would have benched either Higuian or Raul and played Guti behind the front 2 with Robben on either wing than have Gago or De la Red in midfield with Diarra.

Well what i mean is usually when this happens the player then back-tracks and says i never wanted to leave blah blah blah.

and soc, i did say wingers and full backs in my initial rant. but Ramos struggled to get forward being under pressure in defense

doesnt seem like he's stayin now anyway and sky sports news is saying we have accepted a 40mil euro bid form city.....
1h55mins left, its tense

Que? How did we treat him than, we stood behind him through his crap form and all the stories of either him partying or coming to traning late because of being wasted or how about how he botched his rehab last season and took forever to come back becuase he was too lazy to do it right?? No, none of that is his fault but we own Robinho an apology. For 3 seasons he did not put out as much as he could/should have, of course he still has the skills to have been great with us but last season was his best season and even then he was great for about 3 months of it. I am not saying that the club did anything wrong but his party (his agent and himself) are no angels either. They know what each of them get from a transfer and that's a fat pay rise that we did not want to give him.

throughout the whole ronaldo debacle calderon schuster and pedja were saying robinho isnt leaving and he and ronaldo could play in the same team. the whole robinho issue is because him and his agent are greedy bastards after money. maybe you can justify him bieng mad at calderon and pedja but he should apoligise to the fans and schuster atleast.

anyway he can **** off i hope he goes after hes been acting he and chelsea deserve eachother.

Thank you!....listen, to all of you saying that we said this or that or that we traded for Ronaldo....THAT WAS A MEDIA STORY!! I cannot say that enough, NEVER not a single official or coach or teamate of Robihno ever said in their own words or thru others that Robihno was a makeweight in the Ronaldo deal, Marca were the first to pose the question and later at a friendly Robihno said he would be willing to leave if a good offer came, from that point on it was always about money. Schuster who is never been a gracious person has been more than gracious with him and even allowed him leeway when noone wanted to give him any.....and then the little twat goes on his own personal press conference before a key game and sulks all about himself...now that idiot gets what he deserves, enjoy life in the middle of the table; and never fight for a title ever again...lol you dumb dumb lol.....See ya and dont let the door hit ya! oh and thank you for the cool 40 you're leaving in the coffers....

I do feel a bit sorry or him though, his agent Riberio did way too much talking to both the media (about his contract) and to Robinho's ear about how much more money he could be making and well now he is being shipped off to Man City.

You mean Cazorla stayed because we did not want to pay his buyout clause since a it's too much money for him and because that would have ****ed Villarreal over which is what Calderon would not want to do this close to the transfer window. But apart from that the rest of the post is good and 2kg of cheese is a lot less than I expected us to get them for.
