its over 4-3 hard fought match, but I believe we did just enough to win it, Robihno was uncontrollable, amazing string of matches he has been putting together

Very wierd game to say the least. Our defence was totally crap at times, really Mallorca did not play horrible but 2 of their 3 goals came from very bad mistakes by Marcelo and Diarra. With that said we did tend to fall a sleep at times in the game, it really seemed like it was a firendly at times but in the end we won so that's good and Robinho is in amazing form right now. Marcelo was good in attack for the most part but was below average in defence today, Diarra was crap too for some reason.

Also Pepe was a freaking beast when he came in, it's his first game back from injury and still he looked like our best defender. I want to see him and Metz as our CB from now on, they look like our most solid bet. And yes we did miss Ramos, a lot.

Robinho is the man atm. No one is in hotter form than this guy, NO ONE! He is in one word, SICK! That left back of Mallorca really should check if his legs are still in the right place after that classic move by Robinho. This kid is a genius!

Now over to the game:
The defense: It didnt look good for some reason. Heinze and Cannavaro looked a bit shaky. But the worst thing is shown at the first goal of Mallorca. What the hell was that?! I mean, how the hell can Marcelo be in his own there. That was terrible by our other defenders. Miguel Torres looked like last year again. In defense he is fantastic. Canna was decent, nothing special. Heinze did have some very good interceptions and played overall a good game. Marcelo looked very good in offense, but he made a mistake with that first goal of Mallorca. Pepe was sensational in the second half, we missed him! The midfield was very good imo. Sneijder was working hard. Gago was superb again IMO. Diarra did have a good game really, except from that error wich cost us a goal. Robinho was definalty MoM. Pure inspiration! Raul and Ruud looked really like a great duo again.

In short, we were better, but we should be alot more concentrated at the back.

well since Schuster has decided marcelo is going to be the starting LB, I would play Heinze and Pepe, Heinze has been awesome, he is just a quiet worker, so people dont notice him much....

But without Ramos we are almost forced to opperate differently

IMO Metz has looked more solid than Heinze has and he is also better in the air which helps out against teams that use the long ball like Mallorca did today. I think right now our weakest CB is Cannavaro. Also I would not mind a backline of

Ramos--Pepe--Metz--Marcelo

Marcelo has been pretty good at defending thus far, apart from this game of course but it seemed like the whole defence was not set up right today so I won't play too much importance on his weak defense today.
