a penalty nonetheless

Debatable. I have to see the replay again, but it appeared that he fell more as a result of incidental contact than any shirt-tugging.

Real Madrid are lucky to be leaving with only a 2-0 loss. I hope we don't pay for our lack of finishing at the end of the year if we tie on points.

ironic ; better first half by madrid and sevilla score 2 goals ; better second half by sevilla imo and its scoreless; this game its the standard that the villarreal and valencia games are not what they seemed.

i wont lie iam happy :amika:

How do you guys figure Madrid were better in the first half? They had just one shot on goal.

 Marca has outdone themselves this week. Every day they reported a new player leaving Sevilla, just to manipulate the coming match. First it was Dani Alves and Kanoute who would follow Juande to Tottenham. Then we were getting a new forward to "replace Luis Fabiano who wants to leave." Today, right below the headline is "Kerzhakov is on his way out of Sevilla." None of this is even remotely true. What a disgusting display of Madrid bias.

10 minutes in and we've seen some brilliant attacking from both sides. I'm watching on TV, but I'm listening through SFC radio and you barely hear the announcer over the crowd. Sounds like a wonderful atmosphere.

Sorry pal, Marca bias, not madrid bias. Real Madrid never wrote any of that. Furthermore, Alves will leave soon. Everyone knows that. He is STUCK there this year because Del Nido didn't want to deal with anyone over his departure. He doesn't want to play there anymore and self admitted too. Since Sevilla aren't a big club like the Milans, Liverpools, Madrids, etc. there is a more constant ebb and flow of performance and stability when it comes to keeping good players. Players will leave and it will happen. Mark my word, Sevilla will return to being an average team soon, if they aren't now.

I meant Marca's Madrid bias. Sorry for the misunderstanding. And yes, Alves will leave, but the Tottenham rumor was unfounded and the story was unnecessary. The Luis Fabiano and Kerzhakov rumors are the funniest.

Yes, we are 10 points behind (with a game in hand, mind you). Not bad considering we've had to deal with Puerta's death, our first Champions League appearence, and our coach leaving mid-season. Pardon my excitement after beating the richest/first place team in Spain.

So we lost to divers and cheaters, wonderful!

Yes I am pissed and **** Sevilla. Still first though so meh at least at that. As for fouls, lets not talk about it. Guti got kicked off the pitch, everytime they got the chance they hit him as hard as they could and the ref was woeful for both sides not calling ****. Furthurmore it was Sevilla gameplan to come out and assult our players therefor getting our players winded up and resorting to giving them a taste of their own medicine, the worst thing is that it worked just like Sevilla wanted it to.

look who shows his face in here! you must be proud of how the fantastic 4 have been dominating la liga ;). And to sevillista, yes you have a game in hand so lets assume you win, that's still 7 behind and if Juande left it's for a reason. Same with Alves, he wants to leave for a reason. Not anyones fault that you couldn't keep Juande and won't be able to keep Alves. Mark my word, Sevilla will return to mediocrity, if you're not there already. And out of respect to Puerta, please don't use him as an excuse everytime your team fails.

wow the rage...hehe...

Well look, IMO it was as someone described part of Sevilla's strategy to disrupt Madrid's game by being physical, we are finesse team, Sevilla are a physical team, and it showed today, thus our players resorted to kicking and punching as they where being kicked and punched the first 15 minutes....

Sevillista, you are true fan, that is cool, but it seems to blind you to certain things, like the fact that Madrid was better than Sevilla up to the first goal, that is something that you want to argue thru stats, but by the lead of play, by agresiveness and danger Madrid had just started to get confortable and then....BOOM that big goal by Keita, IMO the sebsequent goal by Fabiano really brough us way down, we couldnt recover and so we resorted to kicking you guys

I dont think we played a terrible game, at least for the part that we were in the game, we looked mostly like the team that played Valencia, but like I said those goals really hurt our planning....The ref was abaysmal IMO he wasnt calling anything, he might as well have left his wistle, the stuff he did call was mostly wrong either way....

And to you barca fans outhere, I am just going to tell you the same thing that all our players say when asked about Barca:

A mi no me importa lo que hace el Barcelona, a mi solo me importa que cuando miro la tabla no hay nadie por encima, entonces somos felices

what i say ? :amika:

btw , you beeing so sure that sevilla will return to mediocrity shows your very low humility, loosing to a mediocre team doesnt say much about madrid either.... the fact is sevilla were the better team overall even with the kicking and screaming , bad refs... etc. sevilla's game plan was perfect, not to mention that sevilla are a completly diferent team when they play at home, just like barca....

and to all my friendly madrid fans, i also woulndt give a bucket of piss on madrid... but given the circumstances madrid is our main target right now, if we win tomorrow is just 1 point.... last year if i remember right at this point we were like 7 or 8 points up and look at what happen in the end.... so things arent looking so bad for us either at this point.

I like how you guys make me out to be the biased one. You should read the things you write. Socrates has cried "cheaters" after every Sevilla win since we became successful. Aside from Capel's dive, which he was carded for, what did we do? There were countless fouls in the first half that Madrid was not called for, so you can't say it was just us. We have one player with a bloody nose, one player with a broken cheek bone (Crespo is out for a month, btw), and a blatent blatent penalty that was not called. And we're the cheaters. That's rich.

2-0 Sevilla. We were better in the first half. We were trying to play football. Sevilla was trying to kick us out of the game. And they succeeded. Their gameplan was good. Defend, kick, scream, cheat and counter the hell out of them. Before the first goal they didnt even had a chance to get the ball. Then out of nothing the ball (instead of going out) went perfectly straight at the right side and then the cross came, was headed away horribly and Keita (who was very good) could finish beautifully. The second goal was also loss of concentration in the back.

We are still first so forget about this game. Sevilla always plays like this against us. I am not worried about it. What I'm worried of is the loss of Sergio Ramos for one game. That is a big blow, even if its just one game!

Oh please your team has been a bunch of divers and cheaters for a while now, don't even start with trying to defend that ****. And it was YOUR teams plan to come out and assult our players and than our players fell in to your trap and started to fight back **** got ugly because the ref was not calling anything but make no mistake it was you guys who started it because afterall this was your gameplan and guess what it worked so good job on that part. In no way am I defending our players reactions because they let Sevilla get to them and what Diarra did was very stupid but you seem to only point out what our players did. How about Poulsen with a challenge on Guti even though he already had passed the ball, Keita stepping on Raul to get the ball while Raul was down, Dani Alves hacking down Robinho and Marcelo every chance he got, and most of all Guti getting kicked by every player within distince of him. Want to talk about penalty than talk to Raul who got a yellow card for "diving". Or hwo about Ramos getting that second yellow card? that was very weak but of course you said nothing about that right. Everytime Sevilla plays it becomes a diving contest with Navas and Alves going down 203043049 times in the match, by far the most ridiculos team to watch in la liga. That's Sevilla for you though, great team but with a highly dislikeable character.

If Sevilla proves they are able to sustain the success, the gloss over Ramos may be gone. They showed some glimpse of brilliance but not enough to win the match.

yeah Pepe should be back against olympiakos, that is what Schuster said anyway.....

Can you guys believe that Guti's boots where broken....yeah broken! during the game that is how hard he was being kicked, he was pissed after the game and so was the whole team, apperently the 'Nice" Sevillistas at Sanchez Pizjuan, threw rocks at our team bus which disabled it and then they where hurling insults in the VIP box at our directors, I am not talking about regular folk, but Sevilla VIP people hurling insults at the Madrid directors.....needless to say when they come to Bernabeu is gonna be on and popping, this rivalry is starting to get as good as the one against Valencia; better even...I will laugh if danny Alves ends up in Madrid next year....

They kicked us out of our game scored two lighting goals and that was it. I dont think we were that bad and they weren't that good.
