If we are to speak of missed chances to say it should have been 3-0, then maybe 3-2, because Ronnie missed one that he would have put away normally, and Barca had several chances at the end that could have gone in.

The bottom line is, it was 1-0 and deserved. My point is, you can talk all night about should have been this or that score, and there are good points on both sides, but it was 1-0 and a tighter game than perhaps it should have been. The fact that Madrid at their best could only beat us at our worst 1-0 is comforting, but it still rings hollow. Losing at home is not acceptable.

Too bad Silvio isn't offering 100 million for Ronnie anymore.

Our team needs a shakeup, a breath of fresh air. A change.
I agreed with you until that point. It really doesnt have to do a single thing with us being in top form and you in very poor one. You guys were back in good form. You won against Valencia 0-3 and the game before that you guys also played superb. Remember the Barca in lightning form that drew at home against a VERY VERY POOR Real Madrid?! 1-1 (the goal of Ronaldo, remember). You see that as the same?! Its not comforting at all. It could have been alot worse and everyone knows it. But if you see that as comforting then so be it. I see it from another side. Barca didnt lose at home for ages. They even get very few goals against them at home. And they also play superbly at home. So the thing for me is, that we have won from a team that is unbeateble at home is really something to be proud of. It doesnt have anything to do with us being in topform and just win with 0-1. Thats football, we missed chances, so what. We picked the 3 points, thats what matters. And we picked them in convincing manner.

I think Ronaldinho has peaked. he can still do a job and a very good one at that. maybe ac milan still want him good replacement for seedorf. the future is bright for barcelona they have a decent youth system unlike us, Bojan, Gio and more importantly messi. the players we bring through the ranks are good but not world class which is why they move on. personally i think thierry was a bad buy he is a primadonna not to mention on the downward spiral like ronnie. he never used to play well if it was too cold over here in england.
sack rijkaard sell ronnie, and you'll be fine. also keep them youngsters hungry and happy.
Merry Christmas everyone

Actually we have brought some very talented youngsters out of the youth. But if they dont get a chance, then how will these kids ever prove what they can do?! Look at Portillo. The guy had immense potential. And when he played, he made goals and important ones. But then, Ronaldo..Owen..etc. were bought and players like Portillo had to leave. Now he plays at Osasuna. Another one, Luis Garcia. A really superb player atm! He plays at Espanyol. Really that guy is good. Jurado, one of the biggest talents was sold. Javi Garcia a great talent on the DM position was sold. De La Red...SOLD! Now we only have Granero. And if this guy gets sold then we must shut down our whole youth academy, because it wouldnt make much sense. Now ofcourse, Messi is different class. I wont start on him. But Bojan and Giovani, well...Portillo was as impressive when he came up the ranks of the youth and when he made his debut. I mean he was also superb. That doesnt mean anything. They both have immense talent, but unlike our youth they get a chance to prove it! Oh and btw, our youth is actually fantastic. Most of then win the league almost every year. So the problem lies somewhere else ;)

we are just putting together a new team. we have many new players, coach, system, etc. for us to dominate you at home at thisstage of our building says alot. The future looks even brighter while barca's will go through a rebuilding of their own. Don't forget we beat you and drew you at the camp last year. Throw the l eague title in the mix and things speak for themslves. As for the 1-0...that doesn't even tell the full story. We totally outplayed barca in their home, totally. We shredded and stifled everyone on your team. If I were a barca fan, I'd take no comfort at all. But now that I think about it, you shouldn't feel bad about losing at home to us. Remember we are defending champs and are better than barca at this stage. It's not your fault. Bottom line is that Barca aren;t as good as Madrid so this kind of loss shouldn't have come as a surprise to any logical barelona fan. Please don't get mad, I am not stirring up anything it's just that these are the way things are now.

P.S - you guys should try to sell ronnie soon before his price goes way down. His downfall is due to the frankenstein effect. You built a monster by turning him into a God. Of course it's gonna go to his head and affect his attitude, work ethic, etc.

No Solari isnt a Real product. He came from River Plate. I forget to mention someone though. Esteban Cambiasso. You could count this as a Real product. Real brought him when he was 15 and loaned him out in Argentina. Look at him now. One of the best defensive midfielders in the world. I still dont agree with the fact that they left him go so easily! Now his value is freakin high!

sorry hammy but messi is world class. none of our youth is anywhere near this kid. raul made it because he was world class, casillas made it becuase he is world class, guti also. apart from portillo(which i agree was amazing something like 700 goals in our youth team) the players you are naming are at average la liga sides. they are not setting the world alight like messi. or like raul did. look at man utd, there golden generation beckham, butt, scholes, giggs all came up through the ranks now look at their homegrown talent, very little. not every player we bring up is world class hence the reason why we bring in world class players to feature in our first team squad. ronaldo? was the best plaer in the world, now a club of our stature has to have the best team in the world. that is what we stand for. we would not be the best team in the world with portillo and soldado up front, we would not be the best team in the world with pavon and ruben in defense.
sorry but its the way i feel

Well, I have all the respect for your opinion, but did you read my post?! ;) I said and I'm quoting:

'Now we only have Granero. I mean he was also superb.'

So I did say that Messi is different class ;) I dont believe a player will come close to him in the near future. Read well next time mate ;) But Bojan and Giovani arent as impressive as Messi was. Not even near him! And srry mate, but I really believe that Jurado and Javi Garcia could have been something special! I really believe that! Now I'm afraid that they wont become the players they would have become if Real kept them and gave them a chance. Especially Jurado!

ok mate and i respect yours. i wasnt tryin to say u didnt think messi was world class i was highlighting my comparison to him and anything we have produced. the annoying thing for me is our scouts, we get told we had a chance to sign messi and ronaldo before lisbon and barca. tut tut costly mistake

Winter transfer season is about to open up, you guys know what that means. I really don't think we will get anyone in Jan except for maybe a DM but hopefully not a permanent move. Diarra will be away at the ACN and thus the club might want a DM to help cover for Gago incase of an injury or suspension otherwise the team looks pretty good.

yup pretty much a set squad I dont even think Sodado will be leaving, thought I think he should for the good of his career. He is rotting in the bench...So no Real Madrid for a couple weeks man, that just stinks makes life a lot less interesting hehe....

Yeah even Calderon said we wont buy anyone so, if he said that about TRANSFERS then we should believe it. Although I cant imagine us for 1/1.5 months with just one DM. So I guess you're right. We will go after a DM. And I think it will be someone from Portugal (;))

You talking about that Veloso kid? Last I heard he would cost something like 20 million euros...no thanks. I really can't think of anyone that we can just loan in for 6 months, well it's most likely going to be someone from outside la liga per the whole 5 games rule ( if any la liga player has 5 or more liga games under his belt than another la liga team can't sign him in the winter ).

On Soldado, last I heard he was leaving in the winter team and maybe to another la liga team as he has not played in 5 liga matches for us. Sucks that we did not just let him go to Benfica when he had the chance.

he could still go to benfica so I heard, Camacho is the coach and he will welcome him. I want Soldado to succeed. Looks like a good kid....anyway; we could probably get Garay for cheap racing play him as a CB but he is just as well playing DM. Young Talent in keeping with our line of your talented players....if we wanted to go the other route, and get an experienced guy then I would guess the choices are a little more limited. I am guessing someone in Italy or England that gets little playing time but is still fairly good would be the one...I just dont know who....

Guys, I just used like 2 hrs of my time searching the internet for some news on our players that got loaned. Srry Im being a bit off topic atm, but who cares ;).

Damn, Granero! I mean, I saw alot of posts of people that watch him every game and well, he really really looks something special! I personally watched 2 La Liga games and 1 Uefa game of Getafe and he impressed me, but these guys watched every game and they are talking very very good of him. I guess this kid can become our 'Cesc'. He never loses possesion and can make very smart passes in an instant. Very strong player! Lets hope next year will be his year, in the White shirt of RM!!
The next one, Negredo. ---> 6 goals already for Almeria! Javi Garcia also performs superbly for Osasuna. Like De La Red does for Getafe (but I dont think he can become something for us)

Also another kid, this time from our Castilla squad. Dani Parejo looks very very promosing. Also a CM/CAM.

So all in all, Granero is the man for next season...mark my words! He is speciaL!! (and that goal in the Uefa Cup showed it ;))

@ Socrates...yeah I was pointing at Veloso. But it was more like, knowing Calderon, knowing Real Madrid, they will buy someone (even if they tell us they wont). And then it could be Veloso. But I rate Gago much higher ;). If we would want to get a DM then I personally would go for Banega. (We got first option on him and Cahais, from the Gago deal ;))

Well, now im gonna take a rest. I have enough Real Madrid in my head now lol ;)

EDIT: lol talking about Soldado. Here is something interesting on him. He wants to prove himself! But if the right offer comes, then he could leave.

I would LOVE for us to get Garay but we can't as he already played 5 la liga games for Racing so we would have to wait for the summer time to get him. Also if we did than for sure he would be a starting CB next to Pepe for us, IMO Garay is very much like Ramos in that he is one of the top young defenders out there and very dangerous at set pieces both at heading and shooting.

hammy - I have also herad very good things about this Dani Parejo kid and Genero is a fantastic player but the others I don't think have a future for RM. I really don't think we need a 3rd DM, just loan someone in for the rest of the season to help out since Diarra will be leaving for the ACN. Otherwise Diarra and Gago for fine.

the question is who? who is outhere that is able to come in on loan and help out....and yes Socrates I agree Garay is top notch, we could get him cheap in the summer market and let him become our next Sergio Ramos, we could end up with one of the youngest and best defenses in Europe!, that would be awesome
